Multilingual AI-powered test questions

Showpad’s AI-assisted test creation now supports test questions based on highlighted sections of lesson content in multiple languages. Previously, only English-language assets were supported.
With this update, admins can generate questions for any language enabled in the Admin App localization settings, allowing users to complete assessments in their preferred language.

Support for Android 15

Dec 4, 2024

With the upcoming launch of Android 15, Showpad will no longer provide updates or new features for Android 13. While the app will continue to function, we recommend users update their devices to receive the latest enhancements.

When an update is needed, users will be notified directly within the Showpad app.

Item navigation on Page/Homepage content blocks

Admins can now add all vital assets, Pages, Experiences, and Courses to Pages and Homepages without overwhelming the layout. The new Paginate items setting allows admins to limit the number of items displayed at once in a content block.
Users can navigate through all items using page navigation within the block. This feature helps maintain a clean design and ensures sellers can quickly find relevant content.

Customizable list view for Page/Homepage content blocks

Admins can now tailor the list view in content blocks for assets, Pages, and Experiences. They can choose to show or hide thumbnails, content types with icons, and descriptions, creating a more streamlined and relevant display.
Additionally, checkboxes for bulk file selection can now be shown or hidden in both grid and list views.

Improved password policy customization

Password policies are now more flexible to meet organizational security requirements. Admins can define character limits, password expiry rules, and the frequency for requiring unique passwords. They can also choose to require specific character types. Specific character type requirements can also be enforced. New or updated passwords are automatically validated against these policies. 

PitchIQ user experience improvements

We’ve updated the PitchIQ recording experience, making it more intuitive and responsive. The recording controls are now on the left and are always visible. The camera, microphone, and settings on the right collapse into a three dot menu on smaller screens. Users can find the pitch goal below the settings bar for easy reference.

Now, users can stay focused on their pitch while seamlessly creating a video recording, screen capture, or voiceover PitchIQ.

"Used in" and "Assigned" columns for the Tags library

Admins can now leverage the new Used in and Assigned columns in the Tags library to better understand tag usage. These columns help identify unused or irrelevant tags, improving tag organization and ensuring more accurate content categorization and navigation.

New integration with Microsoft Copilot for Sales

Showpad’s integration with Microsoft Copilot for Sales provides sellers with the tools they need for tailored follow-ups directly in their Outlook inbox. 
Sellers can quickly view a summary of the related sales opportunity, paired with quick bullets of its status in Showpad, including Shared Space activity and content views from the prospect. 
This feature is available as a Showpad add-on to customers with an active Copilot for Sales license.

AnalyticsIQ revamp public beta

AnalyticsIQ answers your reporting questions and offers an intuitive reporting experience. It is available on several of our Question-Based Analytics Dashboards.

The new revamped experience gives insight into how AnalyticsIQ interpreted your question, accompanied by a summary of the findings. A mini dashboard presents data visualizations with context, helping you better understand and explore specific data sets.

AI-powered Message Composer public beta 

November 6, 2024

Admins and sellers have the opportunity to participate in a public beta for Showpad’s newest AI offering, AI-powered Message Composer. This generative AI tool provides sellers with suggestions and assistance in drafting messaging in Showpad Email Shares and Shared Space invitations.

AI-powered Message Composer fixes grammar and spelling, changes the length of texts, and adjusts the tone of the message.
In the Admin App and Online Platform, admins can tailor the guidelines to their organization’s brand and tone.

This add-on currently supports text in American English. Please contact your Showpad Account Manager if you would like to participate in this beta program. Participation in the public beta is available to Content Ultimate Customers

Present mode with speaker notes

Sellers can now access speaker notes directly in Showpad. This update empowers sales teams to deliver presentations with greater confidence and equips marketing teams to maintain messaging consistency seamlessly.

With this feature, you can effortlessly stay on track with your prepared notes during presentations and move through content, ensuring a smoother, more polished delivery. The present mode can be found in the Asset Viewer when looking through Experiences, Collections, My Files, and search results.

As an admin, set behaviors for speaker notes, enhancing control and consistency across assets. Plus, you can use content analytics to refine your approach and improve engagement.

The ability to enable speaker notes in present mode is only available in the Admin App. By default, all newly uploaded presentations will have speaker notes enabled. Admins can enable speaker notes on historical presentations in the Admin App Files library.

Updated navigation for Showpad app on iPad

November 6, 2024

Showpad mobile users on their iPads will notice changes to the navigation bar. A new option will allow users to switch seamlessly between the tab bar they’re familiar with and a new, customizable sidebar. Personalize the sidebar by adjusting the menu order and adding favorite items for easier access.

During the rollout of the new sidebar, the navigation bar will shift to the top of the app instead of the bottom. The navigation sidebar is being released as a phased roll out to customers, so you may not see the changes right away.

Enable Logging to CRM by default

November 6, 2024

A new setting is streamlining the logging of Share activity to your CRM. When enabled, Shares are automatically set up to be recorded in your CRM by default. If your sellers haven’t signed into the CRM, they’ll be prompted to do so. If they’re already signed in, they’ll only need to add the Contact/Lead and Related to information.

This new setting simplifies the process and makes it easier to ensure that sellers consistently log their interactions. This provides you with better visibility into client engagement and allows you, ultimately, more time to better focus on building relationships and closing deals.

We’re upgrading our connectors for Google Drive, Box, and Dropbox. These come with a comprehensive dashboard showing the sync status of your assets.

Pass a test to skip a Course

An assigned Course may cover information a learner already knows. An admin can now allow learners to take a test to confirm their understanding of the material. If the learner passes, they can skip the Course and proceed to their next enablement activity. This enhancement personalizes each learner's journey based on their existing knowledge.

AI-generated CRM recommendations

Introducing a powerful new feature for admins: Showpad AI-driven recommendation policies. Admins can now efficiently automate the creation of recommendation rules. Showpad AI will intelligently analyze your defined key objects and fields, delivering relevant content and Course recommendations with precision. This enhancement streamlines your workflow, reducing the need to manually define detailed rules while still ensuring your teams have the most pertinent content at their fingertips. 

Sunsetting support for iOS 16

September, 2024

With iOS 18 launching soon, Showpad will stop updates and new features for iOS 16. The app will still work, but we recommend users update their devices to keep receiving the latest enhancements.
When an update is needed, users will be notified directly in the Showpad iOS app.

Introducing a new, more intuitive, efficient, and powerful tool for managing your Showpad organization’s content and settings.
Now, you can try our new Admin App beta. It’s designed to enhance ease of use, streamline content management, simplify training and coaching, and refine reports and analytics.
We’ve also added several new features to make task completion more productive. The beta Admin App is being gradually rolled out. You can access it via a toggle within the Online Platform and switch back at any time.
While the beta focuses primarily on content management, not all features from the Online Platform are available initially. Your feedback during this beta phase is invaluable.

General Comments on Shared Spaces

New Shared Space general comment functionality enables participants to easily ask questions, share follow-ups, and update each other within the Shared Space.

Upload content to My Files from within Outlook 365

Sellers can now upload content to their My Files when using the Showpad for Outlook add-in. This allows users to still receive activity insights on their shared content, whereas attaching ad-hoc content to the email would not provide such data.

Audio and video playback improvements

August 7, 2024

Sellers can now play video and audio files in the background while using their device for other tasks, even on the lock screen.
The Showpad iOS app recalls the last playback location so you can resume exactly where you left off. This time-saving feature gives sellers new enablement opportunities.

For example, sellers can use it to prepare for their next meeting by listening to a relevant audio file during their commute.

Enable the new playback settings and enjoy video and audio on the go.

New SharePoint connector

We are excited to announce the launch of our new SharePoint connector, which now features a comprehensive dashboard showing the sync status of your assets.

As Microsoft is phasing out the current integration method, customers should note the upcoming timelines and impacts. If you wish to integrate a new SharePoint site, please use this updated integration for seamless connectivity and management. 

Your existing active SharePoint connection will still work normally. However, it can't be migrated to the new connector at this time.

Asset Connect dashboard data

Admins syncing their content to Showpad using Asset Connect can now access a new dashboard within the Online Platform. The dashboard provides insights into the content synced from your DAM to Showpad and provides details on the sync function. The Metrics tab displays an overview of synced content activity, and the Events tab goes into more granular detail on each sync, providing details related to the sync, such as failure reasons.

Proactive content assistance with LibraryIQ

As an admin, you have a new assistant in your Content Library. LibraryIQ uses AI to suggest relevant groupings of your content for action. There are three categories that LibraryIQ surfaces for you to review. Files without a defined language are grouped so you can quickly assign a language property to them. Regional variants of the same asset are identified, making it effortless to link localized content. Additionally, LibraryIQ finds duplicate assets and gives you the tools to decide what to keep, update, or remove.

Enhanced distribution insights

As an admin, you can now see where each asset is used in your Showpad instance. On the info tab of an asset’s details pane, you can view how often the asset is used and where it is located. Click on each location to see the location-specific details you need to make informed decisions about the governance of your assets.

Improved Page and Homepage navigation

Admins can now highlight key information on Pages and Homepages by adding a Table of Contents block that links directly to Header blocks. Header blocks are anchor tags to which images, text, and buttons can link. By using these two new content blocks, admins can add navigation and organization to Pages and Homepages. Direct your users to relevant content by providing them with improved Page navigation.

Efficiently tag Courses in bulk

We’ve improved the enablement process so admins can now apply or remove tags to multiple Courses in the Coach Library simultaneously. Select the Courses and click Edit to adjust the tags. Now, it’s much quicker to categorize and manage Courses with tags.

PitchIQ review panel changes and more editing capabilities

February 7, 2024

Admins now have more flexibility and freedom to edit PitchIQs that have already been published. Add or remove reviewers from published PitchIQ panels, as well as edit the PitchIQ due date and change which reviews count towards the official score post-publishing.

The options for PitchIQ panel reviewers have also undergone changes, with the idea of avoiding more outstanding reviews for users’ PitchIQ submissions. You can now choose between two manager options as well as named individuals, selecting specific colleagues to review a PitchIQ.

This feature is available for customers with the Showpad Coach Plus package.

Shared Spaces emails in local language for buyers

External Shared Spaces participants will now receive notification emails in their local language, providing a consistent localized experience. The language used in notification emails is based on the browser language settings at the time of the user’s last visit to the Shared Space.
