New Webhook API

Webhooks allow you to receive notifications and trigger third-party systems based on actions in Showpad. In addition to subscribing to webhook events via our Online Platform, developers and developer partners can now subscribe using our new Webhook API. This new API enables saving time and effort, as well as automating the set-up of new integrations.

New Custom CRM Connector

Customers utilizing CRMs beyond the by-default supported Salesforce, MS Dynamics, and SAP can now integrate them with Showpad. Integrating your CRM reduces day-to-day workflows by allowing Showpad to interact directly with your CRM. This integration enables users to populate CRM contacts when sharing in Showpad, and log activity from Showpad to their CRM.

Showpad and Okta present user provisioning capabilities

Showpad and Okta work together to offer the ability to: add users from Okta to Showpad, update user attributes, activate or deactivate users, and more. Okta's benefits are applicable to users and groups in Showpad, saving time and promoting organizational efficiency.

Showpad Video introduces trimming edits

Take your recorded Showpad Video messages and tutorials to the next level with trimming capabilities upon finishing your take. Quickly move the playhead to start your clip later or finish earlier to remove moments that slow down your video. Utilize keyboard shortcuts to aid in your trimming completion. Split your single take into many to complete your video before sharing it with your clients and prospects.

Utilize Pages offline on Windows Desktop app

Sellers on Showpad's Windows Desktop app can now make their Pages available offline more easily. All images, assets, and videos will be included in the download when selecting the ‘Make available offline option’, so they can be seamlessly viewed when presenting a Page. Before the download beings, users will be alerted of the total storage the download will use, and asked to confirm. Nested Pages and Experiences within the Page will need to be made offline individually.

Video thumbnails supported in emails shares via Outlook, Outreach, and Gmail

Share your Showpad Video masterpieces via email with the added benefit of visible thumbnails in Outlook, Outreach, and Gmail. Video thumbnails add a colorful dynamic to your Shares and may even increase buyer engagement.

Ending support for Internet Explorer 11 (IE11)

Showpad has recently ended support for IE11. New web standards and browsers have enabled better and more innovative online experiences in the past years.

These new standards and browsers help us introduce significant new Showpad features that are not supported on IE11 more securely. Showpad will no longer fix defects related to IE11, and we will release new features that are not compatible with this browser.

Stay on top of Shared Space invites

To help sellers ensure that collaboration in Shared Spaces can start off as efficiently as possible, we’ve introduced new Pending Invite options within Shared Spaces. From the Shared Space overview page, sellers will see how many invites are pending for each Shared Space, with the ability to take immediate action. If an invite has been pending for seven days or more, users will be prompted to take action, either by sending an email reminder, or sharing a link to the Shared Space with the pending participant.

Set default Shared Space settings at creation

When creating Shared Spaces, users can now choose default notification settings right from the get go. This way, all internal users of the Shared Space will receive the desired email notifications from the start, however they will also have the option to update their notification preference on their own. Depending on the use case of each Shared Space, it may not be necessary for internal users to receive all the updates via email, and turning them off can reduce unnecessary email noise.

Create Page templates for easy access

Streamline your page creation process by utilizing Pages Templates. Create your ideal layout to serve as a template, or even add content and design elements, making it easier to create future Pages and stay on brand. Any time you create a new Page in your instance, you’ll find a Templates section to choose any of your existing templates to get started.

Search for text within assets on the Web app
Sept 27

Find the text you need within assets on the Web app by clicking the new magnifying glass icon available in the asset viewing window. This comes in handy when searching alone for information, or when answering client questions during a live demo. Find the exact phrase or term you need amidst a sea of words with just a few keystrokes. Search for text and use the arrows to move forward and back to find the content you’re looking for. Click on the magnifying glass to discover more within the assets you already use to gain more knowledge even faster.

PNG transparency in Showpad Pages
Sept 27

Showpad now supports transparency behind PNG files for Pages, including gallery blocks and backgrounds. Images that once rendered with a white background now appear transparent. The image will have the same dimensions as before. Your gallery boxes in Pages cam shine with this new capability in the handling of your graphics. Images that were already loaded and currently have a white background are now transformed into the standalone images they were intended to be.

Salesforce combinable recommendations and updated Widget
Sept 27

Salesforce recommendations help sellers by surfacing the right content for any situation. Recommendation rules are now set up to include additional logic options that make the recommended assets even more precise and targeted for your sellers. Additionally, create rules to serve up internal content in the Learn tab for users, such as competitive intel or playbooks

When selecting asset tags for recommended content, you now have the option to choose ALL tags, ANY tags, or NONE of the following tags. You can also use AND / OR logic when creating rules, to sharpen your logic and add as many conditions as needed to properly target customers and conversations.

We have updated all sellers to the latest Showpad for Salesforce widget version so they can share content within Salesforce, add it to a Shared Space, and see quick asset stats.

Log Activities with CRM as an Android user

Android users can now log their Shares in Showpad via their CRM. Integrations like Marketo, Salesforce, and more will receive information to store when using the Android app. Whether sharing via Collections, email plugins or by creating a link, the option to log the Share can be toggled off and on your account settings. Add to your analytics and let your content shine via the Showpad for Android app.

Sunset the Legacy Windows App
Sept 15

As we finish officially sunsetting the Legacy Windows app, users can move now forward with Showpad’s Windows Desktop app. As of now, Experiences and insights will be unusable in the Legacy Windows app. Additionally, Showpad will no longer fix new issues that arise in the old app.

Advanced content picker for Pages
Aug 18

Adding the right content to your Showpad Pages is important for engaging sales reps and buyers, so we’ve expanded the content picker options to help you find precisely what you’re looking for in less time.

Admins can now use an Advanced option when searching for content to add to a Page, which includes filters like File Type, Property, Tags, Locale, Author, and Source. You can also apply your saved filters, to quickly find what you need time and time again.

Sunsetting support for iOS 13
Aug 17

For the best experience using Showpad's mobile apps, users on iPhones or iPads must now be updated to iOS 14 or iOS 15. We no longer support iOS 13, and have informed users via an in-product announcement.

Replace tags instantly as an admin
Aug 4

Organizations maximizing their use of Showpad will find it helpful to instantly replace tags with existing ones across divisions and organizations. Similar tags can instantly be replaced with the better option without interrupting User workflows.

This applies to local tags and tags across your Showpad instance. It's one more way to make life easier when it comes to categorizing your sales materials.

June Release

Shared Spaces reporting
June 27

Shared Spaces have long been a reliable way for Showpad users to invite external and internal viewers to check out content, provide comments, and engage throughout the sales process and beyond. Now, detailed engagement reporting analytics are available, bringing even more value to Shared Spaces.

View stats on how many users have accepted your Shared Spaces invitation. See quickly how much engagement you’ve received by internal participants, who use Showpad within your organization, and by external participants, from outside your company. Compare key performance indicators year over year. View charts that give you information on Shared Space visits, time spent, and specific assets that were viewed. Like other engagement reports, you can filter and drill down to specific information about Shared Spaces, assets, their owners, and dates of engagement.

Custom Homepages on the go

Users on Showpad's iOS app can now enjoy the same Custom Homepages they know on the Web app, on the go. Custom Homepages are the first thing a user sees when logging into Showpad and on iOS they can include all the perks and flair you enjoy on the Web app such as Experiences, Pages, handpicked assets, and more.

An additional Preview option within the Online Platform's homepage builder allows admins to see what your homepages look like on iOS phones or tablets, so you can check that you’re optimizing homepages for mobile viewing.

Add inline images to Announcements
June 16

Create more engaging and eye-catching announcements with the new ability to add inline images. Within the rich-text editor for announcement creation, you will now notice an image icon which will allow you to upload an image to your announcement or add an image URL.

Sync AEM content to Showpad
June 3

Showpad admins can now use Adobe Experience Manager as your single source of truth for managing content. Our AEM connector automatically syncs documents, document properties, and permissions to Showpad and optimizes them for web and mobile usage.
By syncing content, you can rest assured that all content in Showpad is the most current and up-to-date without manually updating single assets at a time.

Introducing Showpad Video blur and backgrounds

June 1

Enhance your Showpad Videos with new backgrounds to add quality and prestige when sending messages and recording tutorials. You can choose an image from your own gallery or use one of the ones provided by Showpad. Additionally, blur your video at different levels for privacy and showmanship. Sales users, get ready for your recordings to stand out from the rest!

Asset export improvements

We've improved the experience of exporting assets from your Showpad Library to ensure valid insights for larger data sets. You will notice some changes to the CSV and XLSX export formatting. The columns are now more up to date with Showpad's current naming conventions to avoid confusion, and new columns have been added to provide more information.

Users can now organize their Shared Spaces with custom icons on folders. Make it super clear what content lies within, and create a more aesthetically pleasing environment for your customers.

Configure SCIM 2.0 user provisioning through AzureAD
March 21, 2022

SCIM 2.0 has a set of default contracts for users and groups which can be extended to work hand-in-hand with Azure AD, through Showpad. You can now enable your users and groups via provisioning, assignments, and mapping to set your organization up for success. Necessary tokens and schema files are available for you in our Help Center, with step-by-step instructions on how to configure Azure AD with SCIM 2.0.

Improvements to the My Team hub
March 21, 2022

New functionality has arrived in the My Team hub that gives Showpad Coach managers and admins more capabilities to manage their team’s learning initiatives. Managers will now see a new Members page that shows all of the users that are their team members and report to them. Managers can easily zoom in on specific users' activity to provide insights on both sides. An Assignments tab reveals all the coursework assigned, completed, and in process or not started for that particular user. The Meetings tab focuses on their MeetingIQ recordings, allowing managers to easily view past meetings and glean coachable moments.
Quick stats are also available, such as the last time the user was active, their average time spent in Showpad per week, and more. Managers can also find their own action items, such as pitches to review, when checking on their team's work.

Duplicate Page blocks and sections
March 21, 2022

Save time and create more consistency in Pages with the new ability to duplicate Page blocks and sections. Easy duplication will help your efforts for consistent branding and make your creation duties that much easier. Admins now have the option to copy blocks and sections with their assets, styling, and content already included.

API v4 information in a shiny new developer portal

We're improving the developer experience in the upcoming months. As a first step, we have added documentation for our new API v4 endpoints and Experience apps.
The developer portal will eventually become the single-stop shop for developers and partners who want to build unique customizations for Showpad organizations.

Sunsetting support for IE11
March 21, 2022

To keep giving our customers the best experience and innovations, Showpad will end support for Internet Explorer 11 (IE11) at the end of March. New web standards and browsers have enabled better and more innovative online experiences in the past years. Sales users and their buyers will be better served through faster and more responsive web access.
Using these new and secure standards allows us to introduce significant new Showpad features that are not supported on IE11.
