Complete Courses with Coach

See how it's done on Android

1. To take a Course, navigate to the Coaching tab. Tap View All next to My Courses & Paths.
2. Filter your Courses and Paths by selecting Show: All and choosing Only Courses. You can also sort your Courses by different categories or use the search bar to find specific ones. Browse through available Courses and select the one you want to take.
3. If the Course you want to start is greyed out and is marked as Locked, you need to complete its prerequisite first. The information on what needs to be completed is written on the locked tile.
4. When the Course opens, you will see the due date, time to completion, and description under the Details section. Below is the Contents section, where you see a menu of all the items within the Course.
5. Tap Start Course at the bottom of the Course overview. If you've already started the Course, tap Resume Course.
6. As you work through the Course's lesson, swipe right to work through multipage files or tap on the document to display the menu at the bottom. Tap on any page to open it.
7. Once you have gone through a lesson, tap the back arrow in the upper right corner.
8. A pop-up message will let you know you've completed the lesson. Tap Next Lesson or Next Section to continue or Return to Course Overview. When you've worked through all of the learning sections of your Course, you will be prompted to Start Test or PitchIQ if available.

9. You can use annotations on assets in your lessons. To do so, tap the pencil icon.
10. Here are your available options to annotate lessons:
    
    • Tap the color icon to change the color of your annotations. You can choose a new color for each annotation.
    • Tap the A icon and select a font size to write annotations on the page.
    • Tap the pen icon and select a size to draw on the file.
    • Tap the highlighter icon and size to highlight information.
      
11. To undo or redo annotations, use the arrows on the top right. To delete annotations, tap the three dots menu in the top right, and tap Clear. This will remove all annotations. When you're done annotating, tap Save to keep your changes or tap X to discard them. You will see those annotations each time you open this Course's lesson
12. It's also possible to bookmark the entire Course or its specific lessons. Read See all your Course bookmarks and notes to learn how to bookmark and add notes to a Course and where they're visible.

1. Navigate to the Coaching tab, then select My Assignments. To find the Course you want to complete, click on the Courses to Do tile.
2. Use the search bar or the sorting options to find the Course you're looking for. You can sort your Courses by Due Date, Recent Activity, and Progress.
   • If the Course you want to start is greyed out and marked as Locked, you must complete its prerequisite first. The Course you need to complete is written on the locked tile.
3. Choose a Course you want to begin, and click Start Course. If you’ve already started the Course and need to pick up where you left off, click Resume. When you resume, you'll go back to where you left off. This could be a certain minute in a video or a page in a document. If it's an elective Course, click Opt-In.
4. View the Course overview.
   • Course details: On the right, read the Course Description and view the estimated Time to completion, Date assigned, and Due date. You can also see the number of Components in this Course and the name of its Owner.
   • Course structure: On the left, you'll find a bar to track your overall Course progress. Below the progress bar is the structure of the Course, represented by components, which may include sections of lessons, a test, a survey, and a PitchIQ. The time to complete each component is listed to the right. To see more or less detail, click a component title to expand or collapse it.
   • Understand completion: Your progress is tracked based on the percentage of content you have viewed. For example, you will see that an item in a lesson is 50% complete after watching half of the video or reading half of the document. A lesson will only be marked as complete once you have consumed all of its items in their entirety.

     Note: Some interactive lesson items may not display a completion percentage as you progress. However, the lesson will be marked as complete once you've finished the entire item.

     Note: When a lesson item is added to a completed Course, the Course will still be marked as completed. However, the progress for the new lesson item will be 0%.

     
   • Test out option: If a test is the first component, you can start the Course by taking a test to prove your knowledge of the Course subject. When you decide to take the test before completing the lessons and you pass the test, the Course will be marked complete. You can then progress to your next learning activity. 5. To save a lesson for later review, click the bookmark icon next to the lesson. Your bookmarks can be found on the Bookmarks page of the Coaching tab.
6. To close the Course before completing it, click the X in the right corner.
7. When you're ready to begin, click Start Course, Resume, or Enroll.
8. The lesson opens with the Course overview In the sidebar. To collapse the sidebar, click the left arrow next to the Course title. You can reopen the sidebar by clicking the right arrow in the left corner.
9. Scroll through the lesson if it contains multiple pages. Or play the lesson video.
10. Hover over the lesson to reveal viewing options. Click the thumbnails icon to see thumbnails of the pages to navigate through. To zoom in and out, click the plus and minus signs.
11. Once you have gone through a lesson, Click Next.
12. A message will confirm you've completed the lesson. The next item in the Course will load automatically, guiding you through the material. If you have any incomplete items, you'll be directed to the next unfinished one.

    Note: For the Finish Course button to be available, you must complete all items in each lesson. Also, complete the test, survey, or PitchIQ if included.

13. When you've worked through all of the learning sections of your Course, you will be prompted to prepare for a test, survey, or PitchIQ if available. Some Courses require a minimum passing score to be marked as complete. Learn to complete tests and surveys and read more about recording and submitting PitchIQs.
14. If your admin has allowed Course assets to be downloaded, you can save a copy of the lesson's content. To do so, click the download icon next to the lesson title. You can now read the Course content offline.
15. You can also add annotations to the Course's lessons, which are visible only to you.
    • Click the pen icon in the top right corner of the lesson.
    • Choose your tools and colors, and draw or write on the document.
    • To Undo or Redo your markings or to Clear your annotations, click the three dot menu.
    • To discard your changes, click Cancel.
    • Click Save changes to keep your annotations for the next time you open this lesson.
