Configure Roleplay settings

Note: This is a new feature that’s actively being improved, so some details may differ from this article as updates roll out.

As an admin, you control the global settings for AI Roleplay activities. This includes configuring default scoring criteria and feedback category settings. It’s important to keep in mind that virtual coaching can effectively evaluate things like language patterns and word choices, conversation structure, active listening indicators, sales techniques, and more. Virtual coaching cannot effectively evaluate things such as non-verbal communication (like body language, facial expressions) or visual materials. It’s best to focus on measurable elements when creating scoring criteria and use clear, objective language.

2. Select Roleplay from the left side menu to adjust scoring criteria.

Do this step by step

Adjust the AI Roleplay scoring criteria 

1. Log in to the Admin App.
2. Navigate to Settings.
3. Select the Roleplay setting page from the left side menu.
4. Adjust the maximum number of categories your coaching activity creators will be able to set per activity. The maximum also affects the number of default categories you can set here. Maximum is 25 categories.
5. Update the default feedback categories settings. A participant's score is determined by the ratings they receive in an activity's categories. More categories lead to a more detailed score for the participant's entry, and are helpful when participants compete head-to-head or when setting specific standards. Select the check box for each action that admins or Promoted Members can take:
   • Allow coaching activity creators to change default category titles
   • Allow coaching activity creators to add, edit, or remove categories
   • Allow coaching activity creators to change default category weights 
6. Within the table at the bottom, you can manage the various categories.
