Preparing for a more focused Report Builder Updated June 17, 2026 07:00 In July, we're updating the Report Builder to make it a clearer, more reliable tool for exporting your data. The builder is getting a redesigned workflow and a new View/Edit mode. At the same time, we're introducing a Dashboard Builder, a dedicated space for building and exploring charts using the same data you work with in the Report Builder. Charts are moving out of the Report Builder and into Dashboard Builder. The result is a Report Builder that does one thing well: configure, preview, and export your data. What's changing In July, the Report Builder will focus exclusively on data exports, and the Dashboard Builder will become your new home for data visualizations. New menu label: Look for My Reports in the left menu of the Analytics tab in the Admin App. Redesigned builder: To make configuring your datasets faster and more intuitive, dimensions and measures are now selected from dropdown menus rather than dragged from a side panel. Select a data field to add it to the table, and drag fields in the list to reorder them. Autosave: Next to your report title, watch as the last saved date and time updates as you edit your report. View and Edit modes: Open your saved reports in read-only View mode, where you can sort columns and adjust filters to explore your data without saving changes. Click Edit to make changes that are saved automatically. Templates for tables only: Report Builder templates now apply only to table reports. Chart templates are no longer available here. Charts removed: The option to add or configure charts in the Report Builder is no longer available. See Dashboard Builder below. Existing reports with charts If you have reports that are currently saved as charts, they’ll be converted to custom dashboards with a single chart. You’ll find them in My Dashboards in the left menu of the Analytics tab in the Admin App. Dashboard Builder Also launching in July: the Dashboard Builder. Admins and Promoted Members can build dashboards combining charts, tables, text, and images using the same datasets available in the Report Builder. Chart types include bar, line, column, KPI, pie, treemap, and more. You can apply global filters across an entire dashboard, export dashboards as a PDF or PNG, and schedule dashboard delivery. What you need to do No action is required before the July release. Your existing reports will automatically carry over. After the release: Find any reports that include charts in your custom dashboards. Explore the Dashboard Builder to build chart-based views of your data. Update any internal documentation or training materials that reference the old Report Builder navigation (Analytics > Reports is now Analytics > My Reports) or chart functionality.
