Back to Top Tips and Tricks Here are some helpful tips to know when working with these reports: When it comes to Shares, these reports take into account content that was shared through email Shares, link Shares, and Shared Spaces. When you see a tip box indicated with a lightbulb, it contains personalized recommendations on terms, tips, and tricks designed for your specific users based on data they input themselves. A session is logged whenever a user opens the Showpad app. In question-based reporting, sessions are defined differently and more objectively than in previous Showpad reports. Here, we consider a session as a series of user events, and we only consider a new session if there was 30 minutes of inactivity time on the user’s side. In traditional reports, we count every time a user switches between Showpad and another application as a session. Reports that include industry benchmarks are derived from our actual customer base and are based on the related industry and the number of employees from that Showpad instance. We aggregate usage across your industry and compare that to the overall performance. At the top of each dashboard, click the Export icon and choose to print or generate a PDF of full or filtered data, or view all of your PDF exports. At the bottom of each dashboard, click the three dot menu and choose to export full sets of data or filtered sets to Excel or a CSV document. View Time Tracking (Web App): Duration Cap - In Content & User Reports, view time is capped at 1 hour per user interaction. The Activities tab has no limit, so long idle sessions may report extended view times. Focus and Inactivity-Based Tracking - Tracking stops immediately when the user switches tabs or apps and after 10 minutes of inactivity (no mouse movement, focus changes, or asset interaction). Short View Handling - Very brief interactions (as short as 2–5 seconds) are still tracked and included in engagement metrics.
