Access and Activation Who can access AI-powered Asset summaries, and how can it be enabled?All customers with a Content Ultimate license will have access to AI-powered Asset Summaries as of our latest November 2023 release. The feature is disabled for all organizations by default. Administrators can enable it via the admin 'Features' setting (including for specific user groups). AI-powered Asset Summaries Creation, File Support and Language Classification What types of assets are eligible for AI-powered Asset Summaries?AI-powered Asset Summaries are available for all text-based (document) assets uploaded from 2019, ensuring this cutting-edge new capability applies to content uploaded before this release. What languages are supported in AI-powered Asset Summaries? AI-powered Asset Summaries support documents in Chinese (simplified) Chinese (traditional) Croatian Czech Danish Dutch English Finnish French French (Canada) German Greek Hebrew Hungarian Indonesian Italian Japanese Korean Malay Norweigan (Bokmål) Polish Portuguese (Brazil) Portuguese (Portugal) Russian Spanish Spanish (Mexico) Swedish Thai Turkish Vietnamese Are there any limitations on the file formats supported for AI-powered Asset Summaries?We currently support the following document extension types: "pdf", "docx", "doc", "ppt", "pptx", "txt", "gslide." Please keep in mind that the summary generation may still fail if the source content is not sufficiently coherent to process (please take a look at other file limitations outlined in the question below). Are there minimum requirements to generate a summary for a document? We aim for the generated summaries to be concise and a maximum of 2 sentences to help teams digest information within larger documents. The document needs to be in a supported language, uploaded after the summer of 2019, and needs to contain a sufficient amount of coherent text. There is no limit on how long the document needs to be but the summary will make the most sense for larger documents with sufficient text (more than 20 words). By coherent, we mean that if a human would be able to create their own question/answer pairs based on the document, then the AI is likely to have the same ability. How are AI-powered Asset Summaries created?Our asset summarization AI scans and analyzes documents uploaded or opened by users. It extracts relevant sentences and generates new ones based on the document's content, creating a concise and informative summary section. This ensures that your sales team gets immediate access to essential context that helps them better understand and communicate the key points contained in any document. Are all my assets processed? Can I exclude documents from being processed? To ensure speed of processing power, the AI-powered Asset Summaries are designed to pre-process FAQs based on the content in your library—this helps your team get access to summaries immediately when you are ready to introduce AI in your enablement strategy. Currently, this process applies to new uploads and any files accessed by your team. It is not currently possible to exclude selected documents from this process, but we are evaluating this capability for the future. How does the AI classify asset language for summary generation?Our AI uses language processing techniques to classify assets as a supported or non-supported language. Only supported-classified assets proceed to generate a summary, ensuring accuracy and relevance. How does the AI handle complex or technical documents? Technical documents are handled similarly to any other document; the model is instructed to answer all the generated questions using the knowledge from the document. As a general rule of thumb, AI-powered Asset Summaries will aim to provide concise answers that can be delivered in two sentences or less. Future plans Is Showpad planning to support additional languages for asset summaries?Yes, we are actively exploring expanding language support to cater to a broader audience.
