Export and share a report Updated October 07, 2026 07:00 Export a calculation report as a PDF or Google Slides file when a prospect needs a fixed, shareable copy of the business case. A PDF becomes a Showpad asset you can share using Showpad's standard sharing workflow. Each PDF export creates a new asset; earlier copies remain in Showpad and are not updated automatically. A Google Slides file is saved to a shared Google Drive folder configured by your administrator, where you can share it directly or download it. Both formats are snapshots: they capture the report at export time and don't update if you change the calculation afterward. For situations where the prospect should be able to keep exploring updated values, use a live report link instead. See Share and track a live report link. PDF engagement is tracked through Showpad's asset and Shared Space analytics, not through Showpad Value Factory's Activity Tracking. See how it looks You need this to succeed Access to Showpad Value Factory in Showpad. At least one published value model available to your user or group. At least one saved calculation. For Google Slides: your administrator must have set up the Google Drive integration and created a Google Slides report template for the value model. The quick way Export to PDF Export to Google Slides Do this step by step Export a PDF Open Showpad Value Factory and select Past Calculations. Find the calculation and click the PDF icon. Choose a report template: Preliminary or Qualified Lead. In the Save file dialog, rename the file if needed and choose a folder in My Files. Click Save. Before sharing, open the file and review: Page breaks and layout: check that sections are complete, and nothing is cut off Charts and images: confirm they rendered correctly Numbers, currency, and totals: verify against the calculation Prospect name and branding: confirm the right identity is applied If the layout looks wrong, contact your administrator with the calculation name and template name. Report template issues are fixed at the admin level. Back to top Share the PDF from Showpad After reviewing, use Showpad's standard asset-sharing workflow to send the PDF or add it to a Shared Space. Locate the saved PDF in My Files in Showpad. Share the asset directly or add it to the intended destination. Confirm the recipient has the required access. Follow your organization's policy for sharing prospect data externally. See Use Showpad Value Factory in Shared Spaces to add a PDF directly to a Shared Space from inside Showpad Value Factory. Back to top Generate a Google Slides report Note: This option is only available if your administrator has connected Google Drive and created a Google Slides report template. If you don't see it, contact your administrator. Open Showpad Value Factory and select Past Calculations. Find the calculation and open the report. Select the Google Slides template and click Generate. Value Factory generates the deck and saves it automatically to the Google Drive output folder your administrator configured. The file is named using the environment, template name, your username, and the date and time of generation. Before sharing, open the file in Google Drive and check that the prospect name, numbers, branding, and slide layout are correct. Back to top Share the Google Slides report Share a view-only link from Google Drive so the prospect always sees the current file. Download as a .pptx file and attach it to an email if the prospect doesn't use Google Workspace. Add the Google Slides link to a Shared Space alongside related content. Back to top Good to know Both PDF and Google Slides exports are snapshots. If you update the calculation after exporting, the existing file stays unchanged. Generate a new copy after you update the material. Each PDF export creates a new Showpad asset. Earlier PDFs remain in Showpad and don't update automatically. Generated Google Slides decks are saved to a shared Google Drive folder configured by your administrator, not to your personal Google Drive. Use a live report link when the prospect should be able to keep exploring updated values. Use an export when they need a fixed, printable, or archivable version. See 6.
