Record and submit PitchIQs Updated December 12, 2024 09:48 Mastering your pitches will make you feel confident when delivering them to prospects. With PitchIQ, you can practice as much as you want to find what works best. Once you’ve done a few drafts and feel like you’ve nailed the pitch, you can publish it for peer review. Your peers will provide feedback on your clarity, knowledge, confidence, enthusiasm, and goal achievement, and vice versa, to allow for continual improvement. Tap Start Course or Resume Course. Navigate through any applicable lessons, then proceed to the pitch component. Alternatively, select the PitchIQ component from the Course overview. Read the PitchIQ information to understand the pitch's target time, passing score, and goal. Written pitches will differ from recording pitches, so take some time to plan before embarking - it may save you time later. When you're ready, tap Start PitchIQ. The first time using the PitchIQ feature on iOS, you may have to allow microphone and camera access to the device. Tap Ok. When ready, tap the record icon. Give it your best, then tap the stop button. Tap Save as Draft in the top right corner. A thumbnail of the draft will appear next to the record button. Tap the thumbnail to view your saved draft. When you're satisfied with your pitch, tap Submit in the bottom right corner. You'll get a confirmation screen after you submit and receive an update in your Coaching tab when your PitchIQ has been scored. Back to Top Submitting a written pitch Navigate to the Coaching tab on the iOS app. In the My Courses and Paths section, select the Course containing the written PitchIQ component you wish to complete. Tap Start Course or Resume Course. Navigate through any applicable lessons, then proceed to the pitch component. Alternatively, select the PitchIQ component from the Course overview. Read the Information, Scoring Criteria, and Goal of the PitchIQ. Tap Start PitchIQ. Fill in the text box with your answer. Optionally, select Save as Draft to protect your work and return to it later. When you're done, tap Submit. You'll get a confirmation screen after you submit and receive an update in your Coaching tab when your PitchIQ has been scored. Record and submit recording pitches Record a voice over pitch on an open document Upload a file for a media pitch Complete written pitch submissions Use your Chrome browser to record screen capture pitches Submit a recording pitch A recording PitchIQ uses your device's microphone and/or camera to capture all verbal and nonverbal communication cues. This is the most common PitchIQ type, as it simulates live interaction with prospects. Before starting, check your Web browser's security settings to ensure you've enabled camera and microphone access. Navigate to a Course containing a Recording PitchIQ component in your My Assignments tab. If you've just completed the lesson or test component within a Course, you may be moved to the pitch automatically. On the Prepare for your pitch screen, review the steps necessary to complete a pitch. You'll also learn the pitch's goal, target time, scoring criteria, and passing score. Click Record your pitch. If it's your first time using PitchIQ, click Allow access so Showpad can access your computer's microphone and/or camera. Select the Microphone and Camera you'd like to use if you have more than one available. Click the settings icon to toggle on or off a three-second countdown before recording. You can also enable or disable PitchAI. Learn more about using PitchAI for automated pitch reviews. If your screen or browser window is smaller, you can access the microphone, camera, and settings by clicking the three dot menu. When you're ready, click Start Recording. When you're done, click the time to stop recording. If you would like to pause the recording, click the pause symbol. Then click the play symbol to continue recording. Watch it through to ensure the video and audio quality are good. Then, select Create new pitch, Save draft, or Submit pitch. The pitch goal is available to review below your pitch.You can save up to three drafts. When you save a draft, it appears above the recording. Click the draft to review it. Click the save icon to save the draft. To delete a draft, click the X and confirm on the pop-up.You can only submit one pitch per Course, so once you have a pitch that you feel confident submitting based on the scoring criteria and goal, click Submit pitch. You will see that your pitch is pending review. Once your PitchIQ is reviewed, you can view your score on each criterion, total score, and reviewer feedback. Back to Top Complete a voice over pitch Voice over PitchIQs require recording audio and/or video while walking through a document. Your admin may upload a file for you to use, or they can request that you upload your own file. Navigate to a Course containing a voice over PitchIQ component in your My Assignments tab. You may be moved to the pitch automatically if you've just completed the lesson or test component within a Course. Review the steps to complete a pitch on the Prepare for your pitch screen. You'll also learn the pitch's goal, target time, scoring criteria, and passing score. Click Record your pitch. If it's your first time using PitchIQ, you may need to click Allow access so Showpad can access your computer's microphone and/or camera. If the document has multiple pages, use the arrows to flip through it to practice your pitch. When you're ready, click Start recording. When you're done, click the time to stop recording. If you would like to pause the recording, click the pause symbol. Click the play symbol to continue recording. Play your pitch back to ensure the video and audio quality are good. Then, select Create new pitch, Save draft, or Submit pitch. The pitch goal is available to review below your pitch.You can save up to three drafts. Back to Top Upload a media file for a pitch Upload pitches allow you to submit a video or audio file you've recorded outside of Showpad. Accepted file types are .mp4, .mov, .wmv, .webm, and .mp3. Navigate to a Course containing an upload PitchIQ component in your My Assignments tab. You may be moved to the pitch automatically if you've just completed the lesson or test component within a Course. Review the steps to complete a pitch on the Prepare for your pitch screen. You'll also learn the pitch's goal, target time, scoring criteria, and passing score. Click Upload your pitch. Click on the pitch screen to select a file, or drag and drop your video onto the pitch screen. Once the file is uploaded and processed, click Submit pitch. You will see that your pitch is pending review. Once your PitchIQ is reviewed, you can view your score on each criterion, total score, and reviewer feedback. Back to Top Complete a written pitch Written PitchIQs help you practice authoring an email or document. Navigate to a Course containing a written PitchIQ component in your My Assignments tab. You may be moved to the pitch automatically if you've just completed the lesson or test component within a Course. Review the steps to complete a pitch on the Prepare for your pitch screen. You'll also learn the goal of the Pitch, your target time, the scoring criteria, and the passing score Click Write your pitch. To complete your PitchIQ, write a Pitch title and craft your assignment in the Pitch body. Use the rich text edit options to format your pitch as you wish. When you're done writing, choose to Save draft or Submit pitch. If you'd like to draft another option, select Save draft, then click Create new pitch. You can save up to three drafts. To delete a draft, click the X and confirm on the pop-up.Before submitting, you can edit any drafts by clicking on them and making the necessary changes. Select the strongest option and click Submit pitch. You will see that your pitch is pending review. Once your PitchIQ is reviewed, you can view your score on each criterion, total score, and reviewer feedback. Back to Top Record a screen capture pitch Screen capture PitchIQs allow you to record a video of your screen while recording your video and/or audio. Navigate to a Course containing a screen capture PitchIQ component in your My Assignments tab. You may be moved to the pitch automatically if you've just completed the lesson or test component within a Course. Review the steps to complete a pitch on the Prepare for your pitch screen. You'll also learn the pitch's goal, target time, scoring criteria, and passing score. Click Record your pitch. If it's your first time using PitchIQ, click Allow access so Showpad can access your computer's microphone and/or camera. Select the Microphone and Camera you'd like to use if you have more than one available. Click the settings icon to toggle on or off a three-second countdown before recording. If your screen or browser window is smaller, you can access the microphone, camera, and settings by clicking the three dot menu. Click Select screen. Choose from a browser tab, an application window, or your computer's entire screen, then click Share. Click Start recording. On your shared screen, speak through your pitch while presenting what is on the screen. When you're done, click the time to stop recording. If you would like to pause the recording, click the pause symbol. Click the play symbol to continue recording. Note: Presenting in fullscreen mode can limit the behavior of the screen recording, and the video won't be visible. Recording the entire screen for any kind of presentation prevents this from happening. Play your pitch back to ensure the video and audio quality is good. Then, select Create new pitch, Save draft, or Submit pitch. The pitch goal is available to review below your pitch. You can save up to three drafts. When you create a draft, it appears above the recording. Click the draft to review it. Click the save icon to save the draft.
