Present MS Office documents Locate the file you want to present and select it to open the Asset Viewer. Click the three dots menu and select Open in Word, PowerPoint, or Excel. Optional: If the Office Online integration is set up for your organization, you’ll need to choose Present only and then click Open File. You may be prompted to sign in to your account before being redirected. The file will open in Microsoft Office within Showpad.PowerPoint presentations will have full animation and transition capabilities. You’ll also be able to see your presenter notes and comments Edit MS Office documents with Office Online Locate the file you would like to modify and select it to open the Asset Viewer. Click the three dots menu and select Open in Word, PowerPoint, or Excel. If the file is set as personalizable by your admin, a window to present your file or edit a copy of it will open.For personal files you first uploaded to My Files or Collections, you also have a third option to edit the original document.Make your selection and click Open File. If you are not yet logged in, you will be asked for your Office 365 credentials to access your content. If you have already logged in, you will go directly to the following step. Note: If you are not redirected to Office Online right away, or the browser is stuck in loading, check your pop-up blocker and make sure that pop-ups and redirects are permitted from Showpad. The file will open in Office Online so you can begin making edits. Here's what the editing panes look like within Office 365:There is no save button, so the changes will be made automatically in Showpad. Allow a few minutes to see those reflected in Showpad, as delays in the Microsoft tools may occur. This is most noticeable for PowerPoint files. After initial changes, the file will be autosaved to Showpad every 5 minutes. Note: The "Saving..." and "Saved to Showpad" do not definitively indicate that the new version has been pushed to Showpad. With this in mind, the initial copy is not automatically saved to Showpad. It will push the edited copy to Showpad once changes have been made to the file. Keep the Office 365 tab open until you have completed all the necessary edits to your file. If you go to edit the file again, you will be prompted to make a new copy. Closing the tab will automatically initiate the edited file upload to your My Files in Showpad. Edit MS Office documents with the desktop applications Locate the file you want to modify and select it to open the Asset Viewer. Click the three dot menu, hover over Open in Microsoft, and then select Desktop application. If this is your first time using the Microsoft Office Personalization feature, a prompt will appear to install Showpad Edit.Click Download Integration, open the Showpad Edit file, and click Install. When the installation is successful, you can close the dialog window. Notes:- You can download and install the installation file manually. We provide an EXE and an MSI file. Please consult your device administrator for installation permissions.- Updates for Showpad Edit install automatically unless the initial installation was done with an MSI file. In that case, Showpad Edit will display a message that you need to install the updated MSI file. Then, after selecting Desktop application from the three dot menu, give your file a name in the dialog box and click Create a Copy and Edit File to start editing. The new copy will be saved in your My Files library. You can also create a New Folder to have a new location for your edited copy of the file. The file opens in your native MS Office application, and you can start editing and personalizing the document. Save the document, and you'll notice that Showpad Edit starts uploading the file to Showpad in the background. Inside Showpad, you will receive a notification that a file has been uploaded. You can click Show to view the document in My Files. The personalized document appears in My Files. When opening the document, you see the changes you made. Like any other Showpad file, you can now share this document with customers and prospects. Note: Modifying a previously edited document will create a new copy of the document and be saved in My Files with a new name.
