Assign and differentiate direct and partner licenses Updated December 09, 2025 16:53 Your company might work with partners and resellers who use your content to promote your products. As an administrator, you can assign and change your users' license type. You can also see an overview of assigned license types and filter your users by license type. This helps you quickly identify direct and partner users. To use this feature, you need the Content and/or Coach Channel Package activated. When activated for your organization, your users have a direct license type by default. Based on your contract, the Channel Package allows you to add a limited number of partner licenses. Click Add users and select Create new user. Fill in the user details. In the Product licenses section, select which product license the user should have and select Direct or Partner for each product license. Note: An administrator will always have a Direct License as a license type. Users have a Direct license type by default. Complete configuring the user details and click Create user when ready. You can see the number of Direct and Partner licenses in the bottom left of the Users page. Back to Top Change the license type for a single user Before changing the license type for a user, note their User role. Administrators require a Direct license. Managers require either a Direct or Partner license. Users can have any license type. In the Users Library, search for a user using the search field or narrow the list with the available filters. To see all users with direct or partner licenses, select either Direct or Partner from the License type filter. Click the user you'd like to assign a new license type to. In the detail panel, scroll to the Product license section and hover over the License type field. Click the field to begin editing. Select Direct or Partner. Click Save Back to Top Change the license type for multiple users in bulk Before changing the license type for a selection of users, note their User roles. Administrators require a Direct license. Managers require either a Direct or Partner license. Users can have any license type. In the Users Library, select the users to whom you'd like to assign a new license type. Click Edit. In the detail panel, scroll to the Product license section and check which product license all the selected users should have. Then select their license type. Select either Direct or Partner.
