Search and filter to find content Updated February 10, 2025 23:54 If you’re looking for specific content or coaching materials in Showpad, you can find what you need using our search functionality. It understands the context of your search and surfaces assets based on your meaning, not just specific keywords. Additionally, we provide a wide range of filters to help you quickly narrow your search results. In this article, you can find out how the search option works in your preferred Showpad platform. We support multiple languages so words are appropriately matched to their language-specific stem Whether the word appears in the asset description Whether the word is part of the URL for URL assets Whether the word appears in the Course’s title, description, and sections within Courses Whether the text appears in the audio transcription of videos The order of the results is a combination of: Search terms in the title and in the body of the text itself. Search terms in the title. Search terms in the document’s body, Course, Path, and Pitch. And for this, items that have the search term more than others will show up first. Our search functionality can match queries to assets even if they don't share the exact keywords. It uses a multilingual model to interpret the meaning of your request. This means you may see relevant search results that don't include your search term. Showpad search starts with an autocomplete option that gives you suggestions as you type. If you want to search within any document (PDF, Office files), use the available filters. Note: When using Showpad without a connection, the search option only looks for locally downloaded content on your device. In addition, searching for text in documents is not available offline. Do this step by step Search for content and Coaching material To search for content, tap the Search icon from the top menu bar, or in the side navigation. To search for Courses, Paths, and Pitches, tap the search icon in the top-right corner while on the Coaching tab. View search results. Back to Top Filter search results You can filter the results based on certain parameters: content type, languages, or tags. Tap the corresponding filter, then select the file types, tags, and/or languages you want to display. Tap Apply. Back to Top Share content found in your search results After locating your desired content, you can share it with your prospects immediately. Tap the three dot menu next to the content you want to share. Select the desired method of sharing: Share via Email or Get a Link. You can also add the content to one or more Shared Spaces or Collections. If you select Email, fill in the fields, choose your settings on the email message, and click Send. See detailed instructions on how to send an email Share. If you select Get a Link, name the link, choose your setting, and copy the link to your desired messaging service. Back to Top Searching for keywords inside documents Note: Searching for words within an Excel document on iOS is not supported. Open a text document, tap the three dot menu, and select Search File. Enter a keyword in the search field. If you want to search for multiple keywords, enter them in the search field separated by a space (no commas or other symbols). Tap Search. The search results display all pages in the document that contain your keyword(s), along with the number of times it occurs. When using many keywords, you will see all pages where one of the keywords occurs. The keyword is also highlighted on the pages. Pages with your keyword(s) are outlined in yellow. Back to Top Type a question to use AI-powered Answers in Search To quickly find answers, you can type a question in the search field and receive an AI-generated answer based on content in your Showpad instance. AI-powered Answers in Search supports the official Showpad languages, so you can type your question and receive answers in your desired language. Type a question in the search bar and tap the search icon. The AI-powered answer will be displayed above the search results. Tap read more to view the full answer. The sources that the answer was generated from are displayed. Tap any source to view the asset. Tap Copy answer if you wish to copy and paste the response. To filter by content type, select the type of document you'd like to see by checking off the type of assets you're searching for. You can select multiple filter types. To narrow your search results to specific tags, filter based on tags. You can select multiple tags to search for documents that have at least one of the selected tags. Tap the three dot menu next to the content you want to share. Select the desired method of sharing: tap Share to choose either Email or Get a Link. You can also add the content to a Collection. While on the Content, Coaching, Shares, or My Team tab, click the search icon in the top right to open the search field. To search only within Coaching or Content, select All to the left of the search bar and select your desired category. When searching from the homepage, it will automatically default to All. If you are already in Coaching or Content, your search will default to whichever side of Showpad you view. Showpad search suggests content as you type. You can select an asset from here or continue to the full search results by hitting enter or clicking the magnifying glass. View the search results. If the search term is found in the text of an asset or video transcript, we highlight it within the context in which it appears. Next to the content or coaching type, you can see the Experiences or Paths where the asset can be found. You can view engagement stats on how often an asset has been viewed and shared. Back to Top Filter search results You can filter the results by content type, language, tag, and tag category. If a related tag is detected from your search, it will be suggested as a filter. The number of assets related to each type, language, or tag is to the right. Type: Select one or more content types from the Content menu. This way, you will see search results only for the types you pick, such as Document. Select one or more coaching types from the Coaching menu. This will narrow your search results by the particular types, such as Pitch. Language: Select one or more languages to show content only in that assigned language. The language filter is available when assets relevant to your search have been assigned a locale language property. Your admin can use the locale function to categorize assets and Experiences. Tags: To display assets with one or more tags, select multiple tags within the same category. To only show assets with all selected tags, pick the tags from many categories. You can sort the results based on Relevance or how recently they were uploaded to Showpad. Choose between Compact or Comfortable View using the dropdown menu to the top right of the search results. You can display larger thumbnails with fewer search results in the screen space or smaller ones with more search results in the screen space. Open a text document and click the magnifying glass to open a search field. Enter a keyword and hit enter on your keyboard. Pages with your keyword(s) are outlined in yellow. The keyword is highlighted on the pages. Use the arrows on the search field to jump forward and back between multiple uses of the same word to locate key topics quickly.
