For Showpad admins, efficient content searching and navigation are key to streamlining workflows and managing resources effectively. The search bar enables you to find assets, Pages, Courses, Experiences, tags, and more. It lets you search across all of your Libraries/Divisions, helping you locate everything from specific (such as the 'Features' page or 'Integrations' section in Settings) to Files, Courses, Experience folders, etc. For even faster access, you can use the Cmd+K (Mac) / Ctrl+K (Windows) keyboard shortcut to open the search bar instantly. Note: To generate search results for assets, you must enter at least two characters. However, for other elements like tags, entering one character will return results. Back to Top Best Practices Things to Consider Suggestions Give your assets a name so they can be found quickly by your users. You can also rename existing assets using our suggested guidelines. Naming: Give the asset a clear name. A document named "untitled123_sd_final.pdf" makes it less easy to find. Tags: Be aware that tags you add to assets don't influence search results for your users. Tags allow them to filter the results on a specific topic. A good tag structure makes it easier for users to find content. Description: The asset description is searchable. It's recommended to add information in the asset description. Upper and lowercase: Capital letters don't influence the search results. Spaces: Spaces and underscores are treated as regular characters. Courses: If you also use Showpad Coach to train your users, lessons, and PitchIQs will be found based on the title of the associated course. Use the global search function to look for specific assets when adding content to an Experience. When searching, the engine also crawls through the content of documents. When you select an asset, you can edit the sharing properties in the asset library. When you select an asset, you can edit the sharing properties in the asset library. Note: When using the search function, the search engine splits the search terms into text and numbers. For example, if you search for "4th" this will show content with a "4" and content with "4th."
