Course Value: How valuable is a Course to learners? Updated November 19, 2024 19:12 Note: This article is about the new beta Admin App, which is still in development. Changes may occur. Please provide feedback directly in the beta app. To improve Courses and ensure users find their learning content valuable, Showpad allows users to rate their Courses. The ‘How valuable is a Course to learners?’ dashboard compiles user feedback to give you the tools to improve your enablement efforts. This dashboard will help you improve the quality of Courses by identifying how your users rate them. See how it looks Key features Discover how valuable users rate Courses Print or generate a PDF of full or filtered data Export full data set to CSV or XLS Breakdown of rating comparisons You need this to succeed The beta Admin App enabled Feature availability depends on your subscription package Showpad Admin access or Promoted Member reporting capabilities Activity within your Showpad instance by users See how it's done The dashboard is divided into the below sections: Filtering options Average Rating Breakdown by ratings Breakdown by reviewers Printing options Filtering options The Division and Course Name filters influence all of the dashboard sections. By default, the selected options will be all the Divisions/Libraries you have access to, and all Courses. Select one Division and/or one Course to see the specific data for your selection.Hover over the filter and click on the three dot menu to reset the data to default or refresh the available options. Select the Show Selected option from the drop-down to see what you’ve already selected. On the Course Name filter, you’ll see the menu option ‘Showing only relevant values’. This opens an informational pop-up that explains, when selecting a specific Division/Library, only the Courses included in it will show on the Course Name filter. Average Rating The first section of the dashboard displays the overall Course rating given by users. To start, select which Division and Course you want the dashboard to reflect. You can select All Courses, or choose a specific Course to hone in on. The stars represent the average rating given by users. The percentage below explains how many of the Course participants rated the Course. If this percentage is very low, or there are high completions but low ratings, this could be a historical Course with completions prior to the release of the Learning Feedback feature. Note that some users may have submitted more than one rating, so the percentage provided is an approximate indicator to help decide how seriously to take the overall rating. Breakdown by ratings This breakdown provides insight that allows you to compare the ratings various Courses have received. Note that only the ratings submitted by your users will appear, while any unvoted ratings will not be shown. For example, if a Course has been rated with 5, 4, and 2 stars, only those ratings will be displayed. To the right of the breakdown chart, you'll find some useful tips. If you're looking at all Courses in your chosen Divisions/Libraries, you'll see a ranking of the top Courses in your organization based on the average ratings. If you're looking at one specific Course, you will find information there about how that Course ranks among the others based on its rating. Breakdown by reviewers Lastly, the breakdown by reviewer chart will show each user who has given a review within the selected Divisions/Libraries for the selected Courses, the rating and comment they gave, as well as the status of the comment and the response the Course creator or admin gave, if any.
