Customize the Shared Content Viewer with Sharing Themes Updated January 14, 2025 23:16 Note: This article is about the new beta Admin App, which is still in development. Changes may occur. Please provide feedback directly in the beta app. Sharing content with customers and prospects is a key feature of Showpad. Users have several options for creating a Share, and the way it appears to recipients depends on how the Shared Content Viewer is configured. This viewer is a visually appealing, interactive web page that can be tailored to match your company’s branding. In the Admin App, you can customize the Shared Content Viewer, notification emails, and Shared Spaces by setting up Sharing Themes. Showpad provides a default global Sharing Theme, which you can modify to fit your company’s needs. Any changes you make will be applied across all Divisions/Libraries and Experiences. In this guide, we’ll explore how you, as an admin, can build and personalize the Shared Content Viewer for your users and their audience. While the structure stays the same, the visual appearance can be customized. The default Showpad Sharing Theme features a gray background with the Showpad logo. Any changes you make to this theme will automatically apply to all Experiences and Divisions/Libraries. Now, let’s look at how to create a new Sharing Theme. Navigate to Libraries. If your organization uses multiple Divisions/Libraries, select the desired Division/Library from the top-left dropdown menu. Select Sharing Themes in the Templates section of the left side menu. Click the New Theme button. Enter a name for your new theme and click Create Theme. In the Color section, select the Header color, Header font color, Accent color, and Accent font color. The preview will show how it looks in real-time.Note: We suggest using contrasting colors for the header and the font. For example, using a white font color on a white header makes content unreadable and should be avoided. In the logo section, add an optional logo by dragging and dropping or uploading a logo from your device. For the best logo results, use an image with a minimum height of 100px and a maximum size of 5MB. In the Image section, you can add an image that will be shown in the About window of the Shared Content Viewer and on the Shared Spaces your users can create. It can be your company logo or a promotional image. The maximum dimensions are 800px by 800px, and the maximum size is 5MB. In the About description section, you can add a description that will be shown in the About window. This description is only visible in the Shared Content Viewer. If you use Shared Spaces, the description is not visible as it does not have an About section. You can use up to 800 characters for this description. Your users will also see this description when selecting the preferred Sharing Theme while creating a Share. When you're done, click the Save button to save your Sharing Theme. Back to Top Make your Sharing Theme available in specific Experiences You can assign the Sharing Theme you created to the Experience of your choice. Back to Top How recipients browse content When a recipient opens shared content, they’ll see it within the Shared Content Viewer customized with the Sharing Theme your seller chose. On the left side of the screen, recipients can scroll through and browse the shared assets. By default, when multiple assets are shared, the left panel is open. Recipients can close or reopen the panel to focus on a specific asset by clicking the square icon, which only appears when multiple files or Pages are shared. When an asset is opened, visitors see a menu that allows them to zoom in, zoom out, download the asset, or view it in full screen. Download permissions can be adjusted by modifying the asset's settings in Libraries. Back to Top The About section When recipients click About in the Shared Content Viewer, they’ll see who shared the content and when it was sent. Selecting the Showpad link opens the Showpad website, while the Privacy Policy link directs visitors to your company’s privacy disclaimer. You can customize Showpad's default privacy disclaimer.
