Share a single file via Showpad Updated January 08, 2026 16:24 You can share a single file with prospects on your mobile device or computer. This allows you the flexibility to pick and choose the appropriate content to share based on the sales conversation. After you’ve shared the file, you will find it on the Shares insights tab, along with all the information you need to follow up with your customer or prospect. Note: There is a daily limit of 1,000 email recipients. If you reach this limit, your Email Share won't be sent. Learn more. The quick way Open the Showpad app on your device Navigate to the file you would like to share Choose your success platform iOS Android Windows Desktop Web App See how it's done on iOS You can share a single file in 2 ways: Without opening it When viewing it Sharing a file without opening it Locate the single file you want to share in your Collections or My Files and tap the three dot menu next to the file. Select the desired method of sharing. You can share via Email or Get a Link. You can also add the file to one or more Shared Spaces or Collections. Back to Top Sharing a file while viewing it Open the file you want to share. Tap either the Link icon or the Email icon. If the file contains multiple pages or slides, you can choose to share the Entire document or Select pages. If you decide to select pages, pick the specific content you want to include. Note: You may see additional pages automatically added to your selection. This happens when your administrator requires specific content, such as legal disclaimers or sequential chapters, to be included to ensure the document remains accurate and compliant. If you choose an Email share, add one or more recipient addresses in the To field. Enter the subject line and message that will be displayed in the body of the email your customer or prospect receives. Click the Gear icon to select settings: Choose if recipients can download assets by using the Allow Downloads toggle. Toggle the option to Send a copy to yourself, if desired. Optionally, select a Theme. Themes allow you to present the file in a branded space. Your administrator decides which themes are available for you. To set an expiration date for accessing the shared content, toggle on Content Expires After, then tap 1 week to select a time frame, or tap the date to select a date from the calendar. When you're ready, Tap Send. If you choose Get a Link, rename the link if you desire. Tap the Settings gear icon to select the share settings: Choose if recipients can download the file by toggling Allow Downloads. Select a Theme that the recipient will see when viewing the shared content. To set an expiration date for the link, toggle on Link Expires After and either tap 1 week to select a time frame or tap the date to select a date from the calendar. Tap the share icon. You can tap Copy to paste it where you want to share content. Otherwise, select a messaging app you use for sharing, such as WeChat. The insights from this share will show that someone opened the link and when but not which app was used. Back to Top Email the files as an attachment without engagement tracking Alternatively, you can share a Showpad file via your email client. When sharing files this way, you will not receive Showpad insights, so we recommend sharing as instructed above. To share as an email attachment, follow the steps below: Open the file you wish to share. Tap the three dot menu in the upper-right corner. Tap Share Via... Select either Email File as Attachment or Email Page as Attachment. This will open your email client on your device if enabled, so you can email the file as an attachment. Note: Some file types may have a restriction placed on them by your admin to make them available for download only as a PDF.
