In today's diverse global market, having localized subtitles on videos is essential to ensure all team members and their buyers can understand and utilize the content. With AI-powered Video Captions enabled, Showpad will add localized subtitles to newly uploaded videos. Users can then select their preferred subtitle language when watching videos on the Web App. This allows global sellers to grasp and distribute video content with clarity. Do this step by step Enable AI-powered Video Captions Open Settings in the Admin App and select AI-powered Features. Enable the AI-powered Video Captions feature. By default, this is disabled for all users. Then click the feature name to view your options. Click the User access tab to select if you wish to enable the feature for: All: This will enable the feature for all users. Selected: This will enable the feature for specific user groups. Check the user groups for which you want AI-powered Video Captions enabled. Quickly find user groups by typing in the Select field. Click the Enabled Languages tab to enable supported languages. By default, all languages are enabled. Enter a preferred language and check the box to select it. Select all languages for subtitle translation. You can select any of the 31 available languages listed at the end of this section. Click Save. When you upload a new video to the Files library, it will include subtitles in the languages you enabled. When a user or buyer views the video on the Web App, they can click on the three dot menu and select Captions. Then, they can select their preferred subtitle language. In the Files section of the left menu, select All Files to open the Files library. Click on a video in the Files library. You can use the File types filter to view only videos. In the file detail panel, navigate to the Localization tab. Scroll down to the Subtitles section, and click the pencil icon to edit. Uncheck the languages you don't want to provide subtitles for. To disable subtitles entirely, uncheck all languages. Tip: This is useful if the video already has embedded captions. Click Save changes.
