Transfer ownership of your Shared Spaces Updated April 22, 2025 07:55 As a seller, your territory or book of business can change often. To keep up with these shifts, Showpad lets you transfer ownership of a Shared Space to another active user. This is useful in scenarios like moving from a sales rep to a manager role or when a new seller takes over a long-running deal. Instead of having them start from scratch, you can transfer the Shared Space to keep all content and comments intact. When transferring Shared Spaces, you can remain an active participant or leave the space entirely. Shared Spaces can only be transferred from one active user to another. Before a user is deactivated, transfer any Shared Spaces to another active Showpad user. You can use filters and the search field to find the space. Click the three dot menu at the right of the Shared Space, and select Transfer Ownership. In the New Owner field, start typing the name of the user to whom you want to transfer the space. Then, select their name from the dropdown menu. Choose if you want to remain in the Shared Space using the check box for Remain in Shared Space after transfer. If you don’t check this box, the new owner will still see you as a participant in the Shared Space with access revoked. Add an optional Personal Note, then click Transfer Ownership. A notification will appear that the space was successfully transferred. If you choose to remain a participant, you will see it in your list of Shared Spaces. The owner is indicated underneath the Shared Space title. The new owner of the Shared Space will receive an email announcing the transfer of ownership. This is also where they will be able to read the personalized note you added.
