See how it looks Key features Use templates to quickly start building reports. Build custom reports using specific seller activity metrics Visualize team performance with tables, bar charts, line charts, and more Filter reports by date range, user group, Division, role, and more Export your data to CSV and Excel, and download charts as PNGs You need this to succeed Plan: eOS Expert, eOS Advanced, eOS Professional Legacy plan: Showpad Coach Essential, Showpad Content Essential, or higher Permissions: Administrator, Promoted Member with Reporting permission Prerequisites: Activity within your Showpad instance by users The quick way Navigate to Analytics and select Reports. To create a report, either: Click the Templates tab and select a relevant report template. Click Create Report to start from scratch and select one of two report types: Users or User Groups. Apply filters to narrow your data. Drag and drop to dimensions and measures to customize the table Optionally choose a chart type to visualize your data differently. Click Save and then download and/or schedule the report. Refer to the dimensions and measure data field definitions as needed. Do this step by step Create a report from a template Templates take the complexity out of report creation. Each one is purpose-built for a specific report type and pre-populated with the right columns and chart data fields to keep your data accurate and consistently formatted. In the Admin App, go to the Analytics tab and select Reports. Click the Templates tab. Select one of the three user engagement report templates: User comparison: This bar chart ranks users by their total active days in Showpad, helping you quickly identify your most engaged users. User engagement: This table provides a comprehensive view of individual activity, including metrics on session frequency, asset interactions, and the creation of Shared Spaces and Collections. User engagement with coach: This table provides an overview of individual performance, including metrics on session frequency, insights into content interaction, and Showpad Coach progress, including Course completion status and test scores. In the upper left of the Report Builder, click Untitled Report to name your report. The report will be set with your chosen report type and populated with a pre-selected set of dimensions that you can customize. Back to Top Or create a report from scratch In the Admin App, go to the Analytics tab and select Reports. Click Create Report. In the upper left of the Report Builder, click Untitled Report to name your report. Click Report type and select one of the two report types from the Users dataset: Each report type offers a different set of dimensions, measures, and filters that you can customize: Users: Focuses on individual performance, providing a granular view of how each person interacts with assets, completes Courses, and uses the platform. User Group: Focuses on team-level trends, aggregating activity data by user group to help you compare performance across different regions, departments, or sales teams. Back to Top Apply filters to refine your data Use the filters panel to focus on the insights that matter most to you. For detailed descriptions of all available data, see the report data reference tables. Note: For the best experience, we recommend limiting your data range to the past 12 months. Organizations with very large datasets may experience slower performance when selecting broader date ranges. Add, arrange, and select filters Click View filters and select the filters you want to use. To rearrange the filter order, click the dots to the left of each filter name, then drag and drop them into the desired order. Click Save. Click a filter, then select the data you want to narrow the report to. For detailed descriptions of all available filters, see the Filter reference table below. Clear filters Clear values: To clear specific values while keeping the filter active, uncheck the selected values in the dropdown. Clear filter: To clear a filter entirely, click the X next to the filter name. Filter tips Visual cue: When a filter is applied, the field displays the number of selected values. Date ranges: A date range filter displays the specific dates next to the filter field. Definitions: For detailed descriptions of all available filters, see the Filter reference table below. Note: Filters apply to all chart types and persist when you save the report. Back to Top Understand dimensions and measures To build custom tables and charts, drag the data fields from the left panel into the configuration slots at the top of the report. The data fields are categorized into two types: Dimensions: Descriptive fields that identify or characterize what you are looking at, such as Full Name, User Group Names, or Number of users in a group. Typically text, numeric, or time-based. Measures: Numerical values calculated across your data, such as Sessions or Days Active. The left panel lists all available data fields, organized into expandable Dimensions and Measures sections. Dimensions are shown in blue with an abc, 123, or calendar icon, and measures are shown in green with a 123 icon. Data fields currently in use are shown in gray with a check mark next to them. For detailed descriptions of all available data, see the report data reference table. Back to Top Customize the table Analyze how specific teams or individuals interact with Showpad to identify top performers and adoption gaps. By dragging data fields into the configuration slots at the top of the report, you can build a table that highlights the exact metrics your leadership team needs. Add and manage columns In the left panel, locate the data field you want to include. Drag and drop your chosen field into the configuration slots at the top of the table. Dimension fields can go in either configuration slot. The top field in the Dimensions slot creates the rows, while additional fields create new columns. Dimension fields in the Measures slot show a count. Measure fields can only be added to the Measures slot. To reorder columns, click the Dimensions or Measures slot, then drag and drop the fields into your desired sequence. To remove a column, click the X icon next to the field name in the configuration slot. Or click the trash icon next to the data field in the left column. Note: The table always displays Dimension columns on the left, followed by Measure columns, regardless of the order in which you add them. Tips for formatting Sort: Click any column header to sort the table by that field. Resize: Hover between column headers until the resize icon appears, then click and drag to adjust the width. Definitions: For a complete list of what each field represents, see the report data reference table. Example Create a weekly activity report for a specific user group: Using the filter Activity started at, set the date range to 'Last 90 days'. Then use the filter User group to select a specific team. Drag the Full name field to the Dimensions slot to create a row for each person. Drag the Asset Shares, Sessions, Days Active, and Asset Views fields to the Measures slot. Review the breakdown of individual user activity to identify power users by comparing how frequently each seller actively uses Showpad, downloads materials, and shares content with prospects. When you are satisfied with your report, click Save. If you haven’t already named the report, give your report a descriptive name and click Save. Note: Switching to a different chart type before saving will clear all table customizations. Back to Top Visualize your data with charts You can switch between different chart types to find the best way to present your insights. Choose from one of these available chart formats: Chart Type Best Used For Table View precise activity metrics for individual sellers or managers. Bar chart Compare total sessions or shared content across different user groups or Divisions. Line chart Track adoption trends, such as daily active users, over a specific period. Column chart Identify the most active user groups by their asset Shares. Pie Chart See the distribution of total Showpad Video Shares by seller Division. Treemap Chart Visualize the proportion of total sessions across different user countries. Bubble Chart Identify high-performing sellers by representing sessions as bubble size, grouped by user group. KPI Highlight high-level totals, such as total sessions this month or average test scores. To customize a chart: Select your desired chart type. Set filters to narrow your data. Drag a data field from the left column onto a configuration slot at the top of the chart. Each chart offers a combination of two or more of these configuration slots: Configuration slot Description Recommended data type Dimensions Specifies which text-based user data to view, such as Direct Manager. Used in Tables Dimensions Measure The numerical activity you want to count, such as Asset Views or Shared Spaces Created. Used in all charts. Measures Category The primary segments used to label data groups in a chart, such as User Role. Used in Bar Charts, Column Charts, Pie Charts, Treemaps, and Bubble Charts Dimensions Group By Organizes results into deeper sub-segments, like viewing activity by User Countries. Used in Bar Charts, Line Charts, and Column Charts. Dimensions X-Axis Plots time-based data horizontally (e.g., Activity Started At (Month)) Used in Line Charts Time Color Differentiates groups (e.g., User Status) with distinct colors to spot patterns easily. Used in Treemaps and Bubble Charts Dimensions Evolution Compares the growth or decline of a metric (e.g., Sessions) against a previous period to identify adoption trends. Used in KPIs Time Example Create a line chart showing monthly session trends per Division Select Line Chart from the chart list left of the report. Using the filter Activity started, set a date range such as 'Last year'. Drag the Sessions field to the Measure slot. Next, under Activity Started At, select Month and drag it to the X-axis slot. This shows the total session trend for the entire organization. Finally, drag the Division Names field to the Group By slot. You now see separate colored lines for each Division, allowing you to compare which segments are increasing their Showpad usage month-over-month. Hover over points to view monthly sessions per Division. To focus on specific Divisions, click items in the legend to hide or reveal them. Click and drag across the chart to zoom in on a section, and click Clear filter to return to the full view. To save your report as a custom chart and download an image file, click Save & download, then select PNG. Tip: Learn more about chart types and how to build charts in our article on creating Report Builder charts. Back to Top Save, download, and schedule your report When you are satisfied with your report, click Save. If you have not already named the report, give your report a descriptive name and click Save. To download the report, click Download and select either XLSX or CSV. To schedule the report to be emailed to you and/or other recipients regularly, click Schedule. Select the report export frequency, enter the recipient email addresses, select the export type, and click Schedule. To return to your list of saved reports, click the X icon. Average number of times users in the group shared content (via email or link). The count of unique times one or more assets have been shared via email or link with one or more recipients. How to read this metric: It is NOT a count of individual recipients (e.g., one email to 5 people = 1 share). It is NOT a count of individual assets (e.g., one link containing 10 files = 1 share). It IS a measure of the sharing action itself. Note: Old reporting counted individual recipients, so the count may differ from before. Asset Views Number of times the user viewed any asset within the Showpad app. Average number of times users in the group viewed any asset within the Showpad app. All top-level asset views (excluding document page views) by internal users (sellers) across the platform. Note: New reporting uses decimal values rather than the rounded average score, so results may differ from before. Sessions Number of times the user opened and used the Showpad app. Average number of times the users in the group opened and used the Showpad app. Count is per user per device. Considers app events. If a user-device doesn’t log an event for 30 min the user is considered inactive, and a new session will start with the next incoming event. Note: This is a new way to count sessions using 30-minute time windows. Older reports only counted the total number of sessions. If a user opened the app 20 times in a minute or switched tabs often, each action counted as a session. So, the new windowed session count may be lower than in older reports.
