Anonymizing analytics to protect user privacy Updated November 30, 2025 16:45 With the Showpad Analytics feature, you can easily identify what content your users are actively using and how they are using Showpad. You can find all this information in the Analytics tab of the Admin App.However, some organizations' legal regulations require users' information to be anonymized to protect their privacy. To help those organizations comply with these regulations, you can anonymize all Showpad analytics information that can be traced back to specific users. To anonymize the analytics, the user must be added to a user group. You cannot anonymize analytics on a user level. All analytics information about content usage will remain visible but no longer be linked to specific individuals. You will only see anonymous users instead of your users' names.Anonymizing analytics does not affect Coach reports or My Team insights.Tip: Always consult your legal department to see what settings apply to your organization and geographical location.See how it looksKey featuresAnonymize sharing data to protect user privacyNames of sales reps won't be visible anymoreOnly works on user groupsWe keep the anonymous historic data, so when you deactivate anonymization, you can see the historic reporting data again for both users and activitiesYou need this to succeedPlan: eOS Expert, eOS Advanced, eOS ProfessionalLegacy plan: Showpad Content Essential or higherPermissions: AdministratorDo this step by stepClick the gear icon to open Admin Settings.Select Privacy from the left side menu.Navigate to the User Settings tab.
