Use the Entra ID tenant ID to connect MS Dynamics and Showpad. We need this data when configuring the integration in Showpad's Admin App. In Showpad, provide a name for the connection, add the MS Dynamics URL and Entra ID tenant ID, enter the secret key, and enable consent for your organization. Do this step by step MS Dynamics platform Access your MS Dynamics platform with administrator credentials to install the Showpad Insights App. Depending on the version of MS Dynamics, you can either get it from AppSource or use our packages for on-premise installations. AppSource installation for MS Dynamics 365 Package installation for MS Dynamics 2016, 2018, and 365 Note: When installing from AppSource, you can skip the following package installation. Navigate to AppSource by: Clicking the gear icon, then Advanced Settings. In the Customization section, select Microsoft AppSource. Search for Showpad, and install the app by clicking Get It Now. Follow the installation steps. Click and download the package corresponding to your environment: Showpad’s integration for MS Dynamics 2016 - 8.1Showpad’s integration for MS Dynamics 2018 & 365 - 1.11.0Showpad’s integration for MS Dynamics 365 - 1.12.0Showpad’s integration for MS Dynamics 365 - 2.0.0 Select to install the solution in Production. Sandbox is only used for Showpad debugging and should not be selected during installation. Agree to the terms, then click Install. Open your environment, click Settings, then select Advanced Settings to open the Power Platform Environment Settings app. Click Customizations. Click Import solution. Select the package you downloaded for your MS Dynamics version and click Next. Complete the installation, and the ShowpadInsightsApp will appear in the Solutions screen. Gathering details for integration with Showpad To connect the installed Showpad Insights App with your Showpad organization, you need to gather details that will be used later in the Admin App: Organization Secret Tenant URL Entra ID Tenant ID (optional) Note: When configuring the MS Dynamics integration, the primary email address must match the email of the integration user in Showpad. To get this data: Open the Showpad App solution by clicking on its name. A new window will open, displaying the various elements of the solution. In the Navigation pane on the left side of the window, click Overview, then click the View page link for the Configuration page in the details section. Note: The Configuration page may take several minutes to load. Enter the correct organization name. If you access Showpad via https://organizationname.showpad.biz, use the lowercase organizationname in the Organization field. Copy the Organization Secret to use later when you integrate with Showpad. Select Production as Environment. Click Save. Now that we have the Organization Secret, note down the tenant URL. This is the URL you use to access the MS Dynamics platform. An example of this: https://myorganization.cm4.onmicrosoft.comYou can find the URL within your Environment details. In the left navigation, click Back to solutions, then select Power Platform and click Power Platform Admin Center. Click Manage and select your environment. Use the Entra ID tenant ID to connect MS Dynamics and Showpad. For this, you need access to the Entra ID admin center. Open the Properties tab and locate the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Tenant ID. Note: Entra ID tenant ID is required to enable task logging to Dynamics. Integrate with Showpad Click the gear icon in the Admin App to open Settings. In the left side menu, scroll to Integrations and select CRM. Click Connect to CRM. Provide a name for the connection in the Alias field. In the CRM Instance dropdown menu, select Microsoft Dynamics. Add the Microsoft Dynamics Instance URL and Microsoft Entra tenant ID. Click Connect to Microsoft Dynamics. Scroll down to the Showpad Widget section and click Edit next to Organization Secret. Enter the Organization Secret and click Save. It’s possible to configure the Insights App from multiple CRM instances. In that case, you enter the Organization Secret from each instance, separating them with commas.Example: secretNumber1,secretNumber2. Authenticate with the Microsoft Dynamics account. This account must be an admin in both Showpad and MS Dynamics. Make sure that the primary email of this user is the same as the email address used for Showpad. Enable Consent on behalf of your organization. The connection will be verified and added to the CRM configuration. Click Save. Now that the Showpad Insights App is installed and you have entered the connection details, you can continue and enable Showpad activity logging for MS Dynamics.
