Logging Showpad activity to Salesforce on your devices Updated October 07, 2024 10:48 Showpad’s Salesforce integration capabilities will enable you to focus on selling and alleviate the pain of administrative work needed after each meeting.This article gives an overview of how our Salesforce integration works in each of our apps. All your sharing activities in Showpad are logged as a task in Salesforce, with references to your Opportunities, Contacts, and your Leads. Do this step by step Logging activities to Salesforce Sign in on Showpad on your iOS device. Use your Salesforce credentials. Open the content you'd like to share. This can be a Collection or selected files in an Experience. When selecting multiple files, by swiping downwards on the document, you can share them by tapping the Share icon. If you choose email, the email Share compose screen opens. Make sure the Log to Salesforce option is activated to log all activity in Salesforce. Click the CRM button and toggle Log to Salesforce on. This will be remembered for all the following shares. If you start typing the contact name in the To field, you'll notice that contact details are automatically populated with data coming from Salesforce. These contacts are related to your Opportunities in Salesforce. The To field is not the same as the Contact or Lead field. It is used for sending the email, Contact or Lead are only used for logging in Salesforce. You can add multiple contacts if you want. It's good to know that a lead is not connected to an Opportunity. Select the Sharing theme you'd like to use for this Share. You can add additional content by searching your content, or by browsing your Experiences and Collections. Insert a Subject and a message for your Share. Tap Send. If you choose to share via Link, ensure the Log to Salesforce is toggled on within the CRM section. Manually add the relevant Opportunity, Account, Contacts, or Leads or intend to share the link with, then click Copy Link. Share the link in your preferred communication method, and it will be logged as an activity in your Salesforce account. In Salesforce, you can see this Share in the Activity History of your Leads, Accounts, Contacts, and Opportunities. Clicking the Subject will open the Task Details, showing the detailed information about what was shared. With Showpad for Salesforce installed, you can also see the sharing activity in Showpad. See how it's done on Android With our Salesforce integration for the Android app, you can: Access all Salesforce contacts Capture all content shared with prospects. In Salesforce, you can see the shares in the Showpad for Salesforce app, and on the relevant Lead, Contact, Opportunity, and Accounts To easily connect to Salesforce, please go to the settings of your Showpad app and toggle the option on for Connect to Salesforce. You will then be prompted to authenticate your account. Do this step by step Logging activities to Salesforce Open the content you'd like to share. For example, if you choose to share by Email, an Email screen opens. Tap the CRM button, then toggle Log to Salesforce on. You will be redirected to log into your Salesforce account if you haven't already authenticated. Read more about that here See how it's done on the Windows Desktop app With our Salesforce integration for the Windows Desktop app, you can: Access all Salesforce contacts Capture all content shared with prospects in Salesforce as Activity. This is done automatically when you share content with a Salesforce contact or lead while connected to Salesforce. Do this step by step Login to the Showpad Windows Desktop app. Navigate to Shares, Emails & Links, and compose a Share. In the email share window, check the box for Log to Salesforce. This will open another window for you to input your Salesforce credentials. Back in the share window, you should see the Log to Salesforce button enabled and fields for Related to and Contacts or lead now visible. If you don't see those fields, click the arrow next to Log to Salesforce to show them. In the To field, you can begin typing the name, email address, or Account name. When Log to Salesforce is enabled, it should auto-populate the recipient as you type. Once your recipient is selected, the Related to and Contacts or lead fields will also auto-populate and you will be able to complete the Share. When all the information is correct and ready to go, click Send to send your content and log the share(s) to Salesforce. See how it's done on the Web app With our Salesforce integration for the Web app, you can: Access all Salesforce contacts Capture all content shared with prospects in Salesforce as Activity. This is done automatically when you share content with a Salesforce contact or lead while connected to Salesforce. Do this step by step Login to the Showpad web app and compose a Share. In the email share window, make sure the the box for Log to Salesforce is checked. If your organization is connected multiple CRM instances, a pop up will have you select the instance you wish to log to. Another open another window for you to input your Salesforce credentials. At the bottom of the email share, you will see the Log to Salesforce button enabled and fields for Related to and Contacts or lead now visible. If you don't see those fields, click the arrow next to Log to Salesforce to show them. In the To field, you can begin typing the name, email address, or Account name. When Log to Salesforce is enabled, it should auto-populate the recipient as you type. Once the recipient email address is filled in, the Opportunity/Account field and the Contact/Lead fields will be populated automatically. First, we match based on the most recently created open opportunity on accounts that the contact (email address) belongs to. Secondly, we look for accounts the contacts are assigned to, but this will only populate if the contact(s) are related to a single account. When all the information is correct and ready to go, click Send to send your content and log the share(s) to Salesforce.
