Log Showpad activity to Salesforce on your devices Updated April 01, 2026 08:00 Showpad’s Salesforce integration enables you to focus on selling and alleviates the administrative work required after each meeting. This article provides an overview of how our Salesforce integration works across our apps. Select the platform you're using below to see how it works. Note: If you do not have the option to connect to Salesforce, please contact your Administrator. This feature may not be enabled for you, and additional steps may be necessary. All your Showpad sharing activities are logged as tasks in Salesforce, with references to your Opportunities, Contacts, and Leads. To connect to Salesforce in your Showpad app, tap your initials icon, then select Settings. Scroll to CRM and tap Connect. You will then be prompted to select your Salesforce instance and authenticate your account. Do this step by step After you connect to your Salesforce instance for the first time, you will remain connected until you choose to disconnect. You can disconnect from your CRM in Settings. Sign in to Showpad on your iOS device and compose an Email Share. Tap the CRM button, then toggle Log to Salesforce on. You will be redirected to log in to your Salesforce account if you haven't already authenticated. In the To field, begin typing the recipient's name, email address, or Account name. Showpad will auto-populate the recipient as you type. These contacts are related to your Opportunities in Salesforce. The To field is not the same as the Contact or Lead field. It is used for sending the email. Contact or Lead is only used for logging to Salesforce. You can add multiple contacts. It's good to know that a lead is not connected to an Opportunity. Note: If your contact has multiple email addresses and your organization has been set up to support selecting custom email fields, all available addresses will appear when you search the To field. Each is labeled to help you pick the one that best suits the purpose of the Share. Tap the gear icon to select a Sharing Theme and configure additional settings. Tap the plus icon to add content by searching for it or browsing your Experiences and Collections. Insert a Subject and a Message for your Share. Tap Send. If you choose to share via link, tap CRM to ensure the Log to Salesforce toggle is on. Manually add the relevant Related to and/or Contacts or Lead to whom you intend to share the link. Give the link a recognizable Name, then tap the share icon. Share the link in your preferred communication method, and it will be logged as an activity in your Salesforce account. View the activity in Salesforce In Salesforce, you can see this Share in the Activity History of your Leads, Accounts, Contacts, and Opportunities. Clicking the Subject opens the Task Details, showing detailed information about what was shared.With Showpad for Salesforce installed, you can also see the sharing activity in Showpad. Note: If you do not have a Salesforce integration set up, you can use the bcc feature to automatically bcc your CRM. This is done automatically when you share content with a Salesforce contact or lead while connected to Salesforce. You can disconnect from your CRM in your Personal Settings. Log in to the Showpad Web App and compose an Email Share. Near the bottom of the Email Share window, in the ‘Related CRM Record’ section, check the box labeled Log to CRM. If your organization is connected to multiple CRM instances, a pop-up will prompt you to select the Salesforce instance you wish to log in to. Another window will open for you to input your Salesforce credentials. Once logged in, the Email Share window shows the Log to Salesforce box checked. And the Contacts or Lead and Related to fields are visible. Note: If your admin has enabled CRM logging by default, you will be prompted to select and log in to Salesforce when you open the Email Share window. The section title becomes ‘Related CRM Record (Salesforce)’ after you’ve logged into your Salesforce instance. In the To field, begin typing the recipient's name, email address, or Account name. Verify that the information is correct, then fill in the Subject, Message, Add content, and select your settings. Click Send to send the Share to your contact and log the Share(s) to Salesforce. If you choose to share via link, manually add the relevant Related to and/or Contacts or Lead to whom you intend to share the link. Configure the additional link settings and give the link a recognizable Name, then click Generate Link. Share the link in your preferred communication method, and it will be logged as an activity in your Salesforce account.
