Act on competency levels in My Team Hub: Team Competency Insights Updated July 03, 2024 15:43 As a manager, you encourage your team to perform at their best. Periodically, you take the time to assess your team members’ competencies in their roles, ensuring they’re on the right path. After completing two or more team assessments, you can review their progress and spot improvement areas on the My Team hub’s Team Competency Insights page. Here, you’ll see how your team's overall competency level has changed over time. Team Competency Insights pinpoint success and opportunities for improvement. You'll see the team members with the most significant opportunity for improvement and can take immediate action to encourage them to succeed. Or administrator access Showpad Coach Essential or Plus with the Competencies add-on Choose your success platform Web App Windows Desktop The quick way to awesomeness on the Web app Navigate to the My Team hub and select Team Competency Insights Review your team's overall Competency level change Discover the team members with the greatest opportunity for improvement Encourage improvement with recommended actions Do this step by step Review your team's overall Competency level change The Team Competency Insights page lets you quickly understand how your team performs regarding their competencies. By comparing your team's current competency level against the previous one, you can see how your team has changed over time. Hover over the My Team tab and select Team Competency Insights from the menu. If you manage many roles, select one by clicking the caret next to the role. View your team’s overall competency level. You can see how many competencies the level is measured across. As well as the number of team members who have completed assessments compared to how many belong to the role. The total possible team competency level is the maximum level per competency per team member.Your team competency level is the sum of all members' levels who have completed assessments. Two rounds of assessments must be completed for a team member’s insights to appear. A round of assessments is when you assess a team member, and they complete the corresponding self-assessment. See how your team’s competency level has changed since the last round of assessments. Back to Top Discover the team members with the most room for improvement The team members who could benefit the most from your intervention are listed in order of greatest opportunity to improve. Up to five team members with individual competency levels below 3 are listed for your review. At a glance, you can view their name, current level, and the change in level from their previous assessment. There may be no change in their overall level, or it may have risen. However, if one of their competencies is measured below level 3, they can still appear on this list. You can see the number of incompleted Courses relevant to their competencies in need of development. Click a user’s name to view the exact levels of their competencies on the Competencies tab of their Activity page. Click View to see recommended actions to help your team member succeed. Back to Top Encourage improvement with recommended actions We recommend a combination of three actions to help your team improve their levels. The recommended actions depend on what the team member needs and what is available. Peer coaching Incomplete Course reminder 1:1 session To view recommended actions, click View to the right of a team member. Peer coaching: Email your team member suggesting a peer coaching session with up to three peers performing well in the competency they need to improve. The peer coaches we recommend have levels of 4 or above in the relevant competencies. Click Set up peer coaching. Review a pre-filled email to the team member. Edit the message and subject as needed. Click Send when ready. Incomplete Courses: Remind your team member about assigned Courses that can help them improve their competencies in which they have lower levels. The email includes links directly to the recommended Courses. Click Send Course reminder. Review a pre-filled email to the team member. Edit the message and subject as needed. Click Send when ready. If both Peer coaching and Incomplete Courses are recommended for the team member, you can email them a suggestion for peer coaching that includes a reminder to complete Courses. Click Take action. Review the pre-filled email to the team member. Edit the message and subject as needed. Click Send when ready. 1:1 session: Follow up with your team member. Ensure they're on track by setting up a 1:1 with you to discuss their change in competency level. Click Set up 1:1 session. Choose your preferred calendar app. Select a date and time, review the pre-filled fields, and edit as needed.
