Getting the most out of the PitchAI

Unlike traditional coaching, PitchAI captures verbal and nonverbal cues to comprehensively analyze your performance. PitchAI helps you identify areas for improvement and refine your pitch for maximum impact.

1. Navigate to the Coaching menu and select My Assignments. Select a Course containing a recording PitchIQ component.
2. Complete the Course requirements and go to the PitchIQ component. Review the goal, passing score, target time, and scoring criteria. Click Record your pitch.
3. If this is your first time using PitchIQ, you may need to click Allow access to allow Showpad to access your computer's microphone and camera.
4. Select the right microphone and camera for the best audio and video recording. Click the gear icon to open settings and check the box to Enable PitchAI. If your screen or browser window is smaller, the microphone, camera, and settings can be accessed from the three dot menu.
5. When you're ready, click Start recording. Record a long enough pitch (more than 30 seconds, up to 60 minutes) to get the best out of your AI analysis.
6. When you’re done speaking, click the time to stop recording.
7. The PitchAI will now analyze both the video and audio footage you provided.
8. Below your pitch, you’ll shortly get an in-depth analysis of your recording.
9. PitchAI will provide you with Positive and Constructive feedback based on the pitch goal you read in the preparation step. The positive feedback will highlight the strengths of your pitch. The constructive feedback will give you valuable insights into how to improve your pitch.
   

10. Under Delivery & Presence, click on each performance metric to learn tips on how to improve.

    Note: The speed of your AI analysis depends primarily on your device's specifications and your internet speed. It also depends, to some extent, on the pitch's length. In most cases, it takes a few seconds to get the analysis.

    Using benchmarks, PitchAI compares your pitch expertise with high and low performers, considering industry and language wherever possible to account for cultural differences. You will be provided with a detailed analysis of your pitch performance across this range of metrics:

    • Pace: Metrics on your speaking pace with guidance to speak faster or slower.
    • Silences: Suggestions to pause more or less during your pitch.
    • Body language: Insights into your body movement, with guidance to increase or decrease your upper body movement.
    • Smiles: Ideas on how friendly you appear using happiness analysis and insights on your facial expressions.
11. Save your pitch as a draft for comparison by clicking the Save draft button. You can save up to three drafts before submitting one for review. Delete drafts by clicking the X icon next to a draft to make room for more practice.
12. Follow the feedback from PitchAI to significantly improve your pitch. Below the PitchAI analysis, you can review the Pitch goal. Click Create new pitch to re-record your pitch as often as needed and dynamically improve it each time with AI-powered insights.
13. Submit your perfected Pitch for a final review from your manager or peers.

Good practices:

1. To ensure the best results when recording your pitch, make sure to:
   • Use a working camera and microphone.
   • Position yourself in front of the camera with your upper body visible.
   • Speak clearly into your microphone at a conversational volume.
   • Record a pitch between 30 seconds and 60 minutes for sufficient analysis.
2. Don't worry if you're unsatisfied with the AI recommendations; it won't affect your review or score. You can turn off AI assistance via the gear icon anytime by unchecking Enable PitchAI.
