Distribute Brainsharks (Beta)

Note: Brainsharks as assets in the Content library is a Beta feature and still under development. Some options may change. Please share your feedback so we can improve your experience.

After you create a Brainshark, you can add it to an Experience to make it available to sellers. You can then surface it through Spotlights and Announcements.

Sellers open a Brainshark using the Asset Viewer on Showpad.

You need this to succeed

The quick way

1. Add the Brainshark to an Experience.
2. Optionally, create a Spotlight or Announcement that points to that Brainshark.

Do this step by step

Add a Brainshark to an Experience

You can add Brainsharks to both Basic and Advanced Experiences.

Using drag and drop:

1. Open the Experience you want to update, or create a new one.
2. Filter by file type and select Brainshark to find your Brainsharks quickly.
3. Drag and drop the Brainshark into the Experience.
4. Click Close Experience to save the Experience.

Using a Smart Folder:

1. In the Experience Builder, add a Smart Folder by selecting Create, Smart Folder.
2. In the Smart Folder criteria, set the File Type filter to Brainshark.
3. The Smart Folder automatically includes every Brainshark that matches the filter.

Tip: Smart Folders update dynamically. Any new Brainshark you create appears automatically in Smart Folders that filter by the Brainshark file type.

Add a Brainshark to a Spotlight or Announcement

A Brainshark must belong to an Experience before you can feature it in a Spotlight or Announcement.

1. Open the Collaboration tab.
2. Create or edit a Spotlight or Announcement.
3. Click Add content and choose the Brainshark from the Experience it belongs to.
4. Click Publish to publish the Spotlight or Announcement.

Note: Always add a Brainshark to an Experience first. It then becomes available to select in Spotlights and Announcements.
