Build custom reports for competency assessments in progress, assessments not started, or assessment scores and comments. The Report Builder saves your changes automatically, so you never lose your work, and view mode lets you explore the data without changing the saved report. To create a report, either: Click the Templates tab and select a relevant report template. Click Create Report to start from scratch and select one of the three report types from the competencies dataset. Apply filters to refine your data. Customize your report table. View, download, and schedule. Reference the data and filter definitions Do this step by step Create a report from a template We recommend starting with a template to ensure your data is accurate and easy to read. Each template is designed for a specific report type, automatically organizing your columns to match the dataset. This pre-configured foundation prevents the formatting issues or mismatched data that can occur when building a report from scratch. In the Admin App, go to the Analytics tab and select My Reports. Click the Templates tab. Select one of three Competencies report templates: Assessments In Progress & Completed: Monitor the completion status of competency assessments for different teams and roles. Assessments Not Started: Identify users who have not yet started their assigned competency assessments. Assessment Scores & Comments: Analyze assessment scores and review manager comments to identify strengths and skill gaps. The report is populated with a pre-selected set of data fields that you can customize. Click Edit, update the report name if you like, and click Save to open it in the Report Builder. Back to Top Or create a report from scratch In the Admin App, go to the Analytics tab and select My Reports. Click Create Report. From the Datasets drop-down menu, select a Competencies dataset. Each dataset offers a different set of dimensions that you can customize: Assessments In Progress & Completed: Monitor the completion status of competency assessments for different teams and roles. Assessments Not Started: Identify users who have not yet started their assigned competency assessments. Assessment Scores & Comments: Analyze assessment scores and review manager comments to identify strengths and skill gaps. Name your report and click Create to open the Report Builder. Back to Top Apply filters to refine your data Use the filters panel to narrow your report data. For detailed descriptions of all available data, see the Team Competencies data field and filter descriptions. Note: For the best experience when using the Report Builder, we recommend limiting your data range to the past 12 months. Organizations with very large datasets may experience slower performance when selecting broader date ranges. Each report type defaults to a different set of filters: Assessments In Progress & Completed: Assessment updated: Select either Last 30 days, Last 90 days, Last year, This year, or Custom and choose a date range from the calendar. Competency roles: Select one or more Competency roles. User groups: Include or exclude specific user groups. Assessments Not Started: Date: Select either Last 30 days, Last 90 days, Last year, This year, or Custom and choose a date range from the calendar. Competency roles: Select one or more Competency roles. Assessment Scores & Comments: Assessment updated: Select either Last 30 days, Last 90 days, Last year, This year, or Custom and choose a date range from the calendar. Competency roles: Select one or more Competency roles. User groups: Include or exclude specific user groups. Tip: To ensure accurate reporting, select the exact date range of your review cycle or desired reporting period. The data shown is based on activity within that window. If the date range is too broad, you may see outdated or misleading information.Example: A user submitted a review in January, but your review cycle runs from June to September. If you don’t limit the report to that timeframe, their January review may appear as the most recent, giving the false impression that they completed the current cycle. Add and manage filters Click View filters and select the filters you want to use. To rearrange the filter order, click the dots to the left of each filter name, then drag and drop them into the desired order. Click Save. Clear filters Clear values: To clear specific values, uncheck the selected values in the dropdown. Clear filter: To clear a filter entirely, click the X next to the filter name. Filter tips Visual cue: When a filter is applied, the field displays the number of selected values. Date ranges: A date range filter displays the specific dates next to the filter field. Definitions: Filter options vary by report type. For detailed descriptions of all available filters, see the Team Competencies filter descriptions. Back to Top Customize the table You can customize which Team Compenticies dimensions appear and in what order. Add report fields: Select data fields from the Dimensions drop-down menu. Reorder columns: Click the Dimensions menu, then drag and drop the fields into the desired order. Remove a column: Click the Dimensions menu, then click the trash icon next to the field you want to remove. Count: To view a count of a dimension, click the Measures menu and select the dimension. Save: The changes you make to the report save automatically. You can view the date and time of last save at the top of the Report Builder. Name: To update the name of the report, click the name and edit it. Click the checkmark icon when done Back to Top View, download, and schedule your report Click View to review the report without updating the columns. Adjust the filters to see the data fields in different ways. Filter changes in view mode are not saved and will not export. To download the report, click Export, then select XLSX or CSV. To schedule the report for regular email to you and/or other recipients, click Export, then select Schedule. Select the report export frequency, enter the recipient email addresses, select the export type, and click Schedule. To make permanent changes to the report, click Edit to open it in the Report Builder. To return to your list of saved reports, click the X icon.
