Create a Selector Experience to customize presentations in real time Updated December 03, 2024 09:18 Note: This article is about the new beta Admin App, which is still in development. Changes may occur. Please provide feedback directly in the beta app. The Selector Experience allows you to customize sales conversations on the fly by filtering content based on the tags assigned to your assets. This automatic filtering tailors the content to each prospect's specific needs and preferences, enabling sales reps to quickly access the most relevant materials and provide timely, accurate information during sales interactions. Note: Pages are not compatible with the Selector Experience. Assign users and user groups to the Selector Experience. See how sellers use the Selector Experience to guide a conversation. Do this step by step Navigation in the Selector experience is done by clicking or tapping on nodes. You can think of these nodes as folders and assets that guide your user during their sales conversations. We'll start by creating a new Advanced Experience and building nodes in the Experience Builder. The navigation tree you create reflects the levels your users see on their screens. Nodes without associated tags are categories, and nodes with tags are filters. You can create as many categories and sub-categories as you want. For ease of use, we recommend a maximum of two levels, with the tags on the third level. All these nodes are automatically structured in a diamond shape. This positioning algorithm cannot be changed. However, you can modify the order of your nodes at any time. Create your Selector Experience structure On the Libraries tab, select Experiences from the Distribution section and click New Experience. Provide an Experience name, then select Selector Experience. Click Create. The Experience Builder will open. You'll see two tabs: Navigation: This is where you create the nodes and clickable elements that link to files, maps, and external websites. Design: This is where you can change the look and feel of the Selector Experience. In Navigation Layout, click the + icon and give your node a logical Name. This is your first parent node. Add child nodes by clicking the + icon in the Navigation Layout window. In the Node Configuration window, Name the child node. Next, search and select the Tags associated with the assets you'd like assigned to the node. The child node's icon changes when tags have been defined. Note: Only the lowest child node can have tags. Once your structure is complete, click Preview to see how it looks for your users. Back to Top Create filters by associating tags It's important to know that when your users select multiple nodes with tags in the same category, this will use an OR relation to filter out the assets. This means the assets that populate can have the applicable tags for any or all of the tags within the same category. Selecting multiple tags from different categories uses an AND relation filter, meaning the assets must have both tags from the different categories to populate. Icons propagate down in the tree structure. If you don't add an icon, the icon of the previous node is used. You can customize them at each level. For your convenience, we added default icons. They are automatically used if you don't upload customized icons. In the Node Configuration window, you can upload your customized Navigation and Selection icons. Navigation icons are used on the navigation screen, and Selection icons will appear in the content selection at the bottom of the screen. Back to Top Customize your Selector Experience Click the Design tab. Here, you can change the global design settings for your Selector Experience. To see how it looks after modifying the colors, click the Preview button at the top right. You can also see your changes in real-time in the Preview window. In the Navigation section: Logo: In the Logos section, you can upload a Header logo. This logo is visible on all nodes. We recommend a height of 100px. Note: You can upload a .gif as a logo. See the Supported file types article for more information. Page style: This is where you can define the background and font color for the Experience. Node & Buttons: This is where you can define the background and font colors of the selected and unselected nodes. Breadcrumbs: These are reminders of the sections and subsections the user is visiting. The user can navigate back to the current and previous sections by clicking or tapping a breadcrumb. Here you can change the background and font colors. Footer: This is where you can define the background and font colors for the selected filters and the results. Preview: This shows the layout of the navigation. In the Asset list section: Page style: This is where you can define the background and font color for a filtered list. Back to Top Assign access to the Experience Click on the Experience in the Experiences library. From the Experience details panel, click the pencil icon in the User access section. Click in the Assigned user group(s) field, then search for and select the user groups you want to assign to the Experience. The total number of selected groups is listed in the field. You can review the group names listed below. You can also click in the Assigned individual user(s) field to search for and select individual users. Click Save changes to make the Experience available to the selected users and user groups. Back to Top Start sharing content Users can start sharing content when opening the Selector Experience. Navigate to the Web App. Go to Experiences and select your Selector Experience. Click on a node. The filtering results are visible at the bottom of the screen. The number of filtered assets is visible, and selecting View will take you to the results. By default, you'll see a list of all assets in a grid view with thumbnails. You can select specific assets or use Select All. The icon at the bottom lets you change to List view. Click the Share button to share the selected assets by email, link, or add them to a personal Collection. Navigating back can be done by selecting the Close button. Using the Breadcrumbs on top-left takes you back to the main screen. Navigating on a smartphone is different from navigating on a desktop or tablet. The diamond-shaped buttons are rectangular, and instead of breadcrumbs, there's a Back button on the left side of the current filter group name. The Selector Experience is only available in portrait mode, not in landscape mode. Back to Top Learn how to build a Selector Experience on the current Online Platform.
