Share content with Showpad for Gmail Updated January 12, 2026 16:14 With the Showpad Gmail Plugin, you can share Showpad content and track it while still accessing the benefits of using your email provider, such as a custom signature, HTML capability, and more. Browse for content in Advanced Experiences, Collections, and My Files, just like on the Web App, to find the content you want easily and quickly. If you're unsure where specific files are located off-hand, use the search option to quickly grab the assets you want to add to your Share.When sending your content to multiple recipients through Gmail, it's technically not possible to see which contact opened your Share, as it's only possible to track one email address. Indicate the Sharing Options for the content in your email. Select Allow downloads if you want recipients to be able to download the content or not. If your administrator marked an asset as not downloadable, and you check this option, the asset will still not be downloadable.Select Log to CRM if you wish to log the Share to your CRM.Finally, choose a Sharing theme from the dropdown menu. Sharing theme determines how your content is presented to your prospect or customer. In the Add Content section, click one of the tabs to select content from Experiences, Collections, or My Files. Navigate to the content you want to include, then select it. You can use the three dot menu to select certain pages of multi-paged files or preview the content before adding.For Pages, you will have the option in the three dot menu to Select assets from the Page to insert. Click Insert Items to add them to the email body. Alternatively, click the magnifying icon to expand the search field to look for a specific asset. You'll notice a list of recent searches to choose from, or start typing the name of an asset you're looking for. The results you see here will match the title, tags, and body of all the available content. Filter search results by file type or tags using the drop-down options. Select the asset(s) you want to include, then click Insert item. Within the My Files tab, you can also select Upload Content, which will redirect you to the My Files page in your Showpad Web App. This allows you to upload files from your device, which you can then include in your email shares with the added benefit of Showpad's activity tracking. The uploaded file may not appear until the plugin is re-opened. The links to your shared content are listed where your cursor rests in the small compose window.Note: When you open the Showpad plugin while using full-screen or reply mode, the message window resizes to a small compose window, and the cursor resets to the beginning of your message. To prevent the Share links from appearing at the start of your message, close the plugin, reset your cursor, and reopen the Showpad plugin. Or, after you've inserted the links, cut and paste them where you'd like.If you need to remove an asset from your email, select the link and remove it with backspace or the delete key.Fill in your contact's email address, subject, and message. Click send.
