Test ACB template configuration Updated March 11, 2025 16:06 The Automated Content Builder (ACB) app enables the creation of documents and presentations tailored to prospects' context and industry-specific needs. Customer data automatically integrates into marketing-approved templates to create impactful, personalized content in seconds. Templates contain placeholders that are linked to preconfigured data nodes. These nodes serve as connectors that retrieve the data required for the template. When a user creates a document from a template, the data retrieved is automatically inserted into the document's placeholders. Now that we’ve mapped placeholders to preconfigured data nodes, we’ll test our template to ensure that all placeholders are replaced by the expected value. See how it looks You need this to succeed Add-on: Empower+ Previous plan: Showpad Content Ultimate Permissions: Administrator Prerequisites: The Automated Content Builder app installed An existing Automated Content Builder Experience Templates with placeholders Access to the data required to configure the template Do this step by step Note: You can test your template at any point during the configuration process. Navigate to the Test your template tab on the Edit Template page. Depending on the data nodes configured for your template, you could see the fields the users will need to fill in when generating a document from the template: If the template uses a Form data node, you must fill in all the form fields. If the template uses a Salesforce data node, you must fill in the object ID required. If the filename is configurable, you can update the document’s name before it is uploaded to My Files. Click Create preview. If an error occurs when generating the document, you’ll be notified with an error message. When the document has been created successfully, your draft will be uploaded to My Files in the Automated Content Builder draft folder. You will be notified when the file is done processing. Navigating to other screens will not impact processing. Navigate to My Files using the link provided or the navigation menu, find the template folder in My Files, and click on your newly created template to open it in the Asset Viewer.
