We offer the option to use Showpad sharing data in Salesforce, and we call it Content ROI. With Content ROI, you can see how much revenue is associated with an individual piece of content within Salesforce and customize your reports and dashboards as you want. We provide the data, and you can control what you and your users see in the Salesforce dashboards. Using the Content ROI feature can give you and your users precious data, for example: How often a piece of content was viewed by prospects How often content was shared over time and per opportunity, account or lead When I send a particular video, 15% of deals move to the next stage The data source for gathering all that sharing information is Showpad's Salesforce integration. Your users need to log in with their Salesforce account on the Showpad app or the Web App. All that sharing data is stored in Salesforce so that you can use it for building reports and dashboards. Settings must be either 'Controlled by parent' or public, or the integration user needs to have access through sharing rules To follow this guide, switch to Salesforce Classic View if Lightning View is enabled The quick way Open Showpad for Salesforce Find the Showpad Reports and Dashboards Change the Dashboard running user to Run as specified user Customize the filters for your needs or build new ones with the available objects Browse the Showpad Content, Activities and Content Views for more details Do this step by step Make sure you have downloaded and installed the latest Showpad for Salesforce app. Read more on how to do so here. To access Showpad for Salesforce click the menu in the top right. Find the Showpad Reports and Dashboards. These were added while installing and updating the Showpad Insights app from Salesforce AppExchange.Your reports are empty when you first start using the dashboards. Historic data from previous Showpad shares is not saved in the Salesforce database. As a result, those historical shares are not visible in the Salesforce reports and dashboards. This means that you can start using the sharing data once you installed the Showpad Insights app from Salesforce AppExchange and configured the Salesforce integration for your users. Only content that was shared at least one time is visible in the dashboards to avoid having large reports with assets that were never shared. Make sure you switch to Run as specified user. For each user, the dashboard is viewed as the specific user that installed the package. Because the data in the dashboards does not change depending on the user that views it, the dashboards can be set to static. There's no limit on static dashboards. However, for dynamic dashboards, there is a limit of 10 dashboards. With these reports, you can create your dashboards. This is normal, as it's this user that Showpad uses to integrate with Salesforce. Only content that was shared at least one time is visible in the dashboards to avoid having large reports with assets that were never shared. You can customize this view the way you want it.Showpad ActivitiesSee the activity details for the available content and which content was used in, for example, a certain opportunity stage.Showpad Content ViewsBrowse how long a lead watched a shared Showpad document. Disabling triggers If you need to temporarily disable triggers on activities and opportunities from the Showpad app, for example if you are importing high volumes of data, you can select to bypass apex triggers so it does not affect your reporting. It is important to return to this set up and uncheck the box once you are done with your data import or migration so the reporting connection functions again. Navigate to Setup in Salesforce and search the quick find menu for Installed packages. Click Configure for the Showpad for Salesforce App. Select Advanced Config. Check the box for Bypass Apex Triggers. Click Save. The triggers from the package will be inactivated. Once you are done with your data migration, be sure to return to the configuration and uncheck the box to activate the triggers. Learn how this works on the current Online Platform.
