What's in it for you
Updating the content on your device is crucial to have high-quality and meaningful sales conversations. It's important to have the latest, updated files available on your device. We don't update your content automatically because we don't want your content to start updating while you are in the middle of a presentation. At Showpad, we want to make sure that you are in control of your content in the app.

If you're working in the Showpad app and your administrator updates the content in your current session, you will see a notification when new or updated content is available. Here are the four possible icons you can see in the top-right corner:
A. Force an update of your content.
B. New content available. You can decide when you want to download the updated content.
C. Pause the downloading of your content.
D. Resume the downloading of content. - The new or updated content will download in the background and you can continue working in the app. At any time, you can pause the download if you're for example working on a bad wireless connection and want to resume the download later when conditions are better.
- You'll be notified when all content is up to date. When an update was available and downloaded on your device, you can see what changed by tapping See What Changed.

We always advise you to download the most important channels or folders to make them available offline. In case you don't have a connection, you will always have the most important content available.
You can update your content by following these steps.
- In Windows Tablet Mode, swipe from the top of the screen towards the middle of the screen. The Showpad menu will open.
- At the bottom-right of the screen, select Update content.
- The Showpad app will look for content updates or edited channels. The app can only detect newly added content or updated content if a previously downloaded version of the channel or folder is already stored on your device.
- The channels and collections with updated content will be marked with a red dot to let you know that new files are available. These dots appear in the channel where you added these new files.
- You can download the updated content by clicking Download selected and making it available offline. Once the updated content is downloaded, the red dots will disappear.
