Please note that download options may vary depending on the specific Showpad app you are using. Note: For security reasons, all Showpad content and the application cannot be downloaded onto external storage (such as an SD card). This helps prevent confidential information from becoming accessible to other parties. Cancel takes you back to the login screen. Select Continue to start the download. The Showpad app can store content locally on your device. This allows you to work offline when an internet connection is unavailable. You'll be presented with two options. 1. When selecting this option, all available content will always be automatically downloaded in the background. This requires a stable internet connection to make sure everything is downloaded correctly. You can continue working in Showpad during this process. Note: If you choose to download all content, make sure to leave the Showpad open for a bit while it downloads. If the app is closed during the download, all files will be canceled and will start over the next time Showpad is opened. It is fine to leave the app open and visit other apps on your device during the download. The only way content will stop downloading is if you log out, or swipe up to close it. When the Always Download All Files option is enabled, you won't be able to remove the downloaded files from your device. To remove the downloaded files, disable the Always Download All Files option first in your Account settings. If you are on a mobile connection, large files can take longer to download and will affect your data usage. You can enable or disable the usage of your Cellular Data connection in the Account settings. Note: When you're offline and you create a share, it will go out once the connection is back online. You also have the option to pause downloads and continue downloading the content once you have a wifi connection available. Updates to the content are not automatically downloaded to your device. However, the Showpad app checks for updates in the background on a regular basis. If future content updates are available, you will see a notification in the top right corner. You can start syncing your content by tapping the icon. After downloading the updates, you'll see what's new and what changed in which Experience.Every time you sign in on the app after you signed out, the latest content updates will be updated in the background. In this case, you won't see what's new and what changed in which Experience. Downloading content in the background Background activities on your iOS device, like syncing your music, downloading files from your iCloud drive, downloading content from Showpad,... are handled by iOS.When Showpad's app is closed on your iPad or iPhone, iOS determines whether or not Showpad content will be downloaded. Background downloading of this content is influenced by the state of your device. We recommend using a good wifi network. having your device fully charged. disabling low-power mode. Changing the download settings If you want to switch between both options, you can go to Account and change the Always Download All Files setting. Removing assets from your device To remove assets that you have downloaded to your device, navigate to the Account tab. Select Clean up, then tap Remove downloaded files from device. During this time, you can choose content to make available for offline viewing. Select to make Experiences available offline, as well as Pages, Collections, and individual assets. Individual assets To make an individual asset available offline, click the cloud icon in the top menu of the Asset Viewer. If you need to remove this asset from your device later on, return to the asset and click the cloud icon again. Experiences To make an Experience available offline, navigate to the Experiences tab. Check the box to select which Experiences you wish to download, then click Make available offline. A message will pop up letting you know the size of your download. Confirm by clicking Download. If you wish to remove downloaded Experiences from your device later on, check the box and select Remove from device. You can not remove individual assets from your device if made available offline as part of an Experience. Pages While viewing a Page, you can make it available offline by clicking the cloud icon. All elements within the Page will become available offline. Once you click Make available offline, you will be alerted of the total download size. Click Download to confirm. This Page will be kept in sync, so if your admin adds new assets or updates the Page, those will automatically be made available offline. Pages nested within other Pages, and Experiences in Pages will not be included in the download or made available offline. You can make these elements available offline individually. Overview and option to Download assets that are available offline You can quickly see what content is available offline by clicking your profile icon at the top-right and selecting Available Offline. On this screen, you can see the name, size of the asset, and type. Sort the content by clicking any of the column names. When assets are made available offline, you can download them locally on your device. To do so, slide the Download All toggle on. You can clear all the downloads from your local device at any time by clicking Clear All. Remove individual downloaded content from your device by clicking the cloud icon. This is a convenient option if your device runs out of storage. Sort your content by size and select what can be removed to free up space. If you try to open an asset not previously made available offline while not connected to a network, you will be shown an error message indicating you need to try again when online. Offline content is removed from your device when you log out. When you open the app for the first time since logging out or when new Experiences are available, give the app time to download content in the background first. Then, double-check to see if everything works properly when you're offline. Note: Your offline content will remain available on your device if you're automatically logged out of the app due to inactivity. The app automatically logs you out if you haven't used it for two weeks.
