Differences between Outlook 365 add-in and (legacy) Outlook for Windows Desktop add-in

If you use Outlook as an email client, Showpad offers a practical add-in solution for you to seamlessly share content without leaving your inbox.

We currently offer two add-in versions:  Showpad for Outlook 365 and Legacy Showpad for Outlook.

Note: Showpad for Outlook 365 is the latest and highly recommended version. It's easier to install and manage, and we're continually enhancing this version. The legacy Showpad for Outlook add-in is deprecated, requires admin action to install, and no longer receives updates or new features.

Showpad for Outlook 365 is our long-term solution and offers more practical benefits:

• More modern and streamlined UI.
• Easier to distribute for admins with centralized deployment, automatic updates, and minimal seller action required.
• Available on Mac, Windows, and in the browser.
• Built on Microsoft 365 architecture, which Microsoft is positioning as the future for Office integrations.
