Content Profile Example Scenarios
Think of Content Profiles as a sifter, only allowing the useful granules to get through. Content Profiles will make sure only the right assets sprinkle through your Experiences to the right set of users. These will help you avoid duplicating Experiences, and instead will ensure that sellers only see content relevant to them within one Experience. Content Profiles can be applicable in many circumstances including different Product Lines, Languages, Locales, and more.
Here are a couple example scenarios to help you understand the various ways Content Profiles can be used...
The situation: Some sellers need to see specific content in addition to what other sellers have access to.
Example: A certain group of sellers are responsible for a brand which is only sold to enterprise customers.
- Create two Content Profiles
- One Content Profile will provide one user group with the specific additional content, so we add one or multiple tags to ALL. In this Example, we tagged the extra content as Enterprise.
- The second Content Profile will have the same tag added to NONE. This Content Profile will have all other user groups assigned.
The situation: Users should always see their local language. If the local language is not available, the Global language should be shown.
Example: A global organization creates content centrally, which needs to be translated by local teams. Before the content is locally available, global content will be shown to all countries that are awaiting translations.
- Create a Content Profile for each country and assign the corresponding user groups.
- This can be done with either tags or Locale properties. Add English and the local language to the ANY field.
- Adding English as a Locale property will add content to users in France if the language is English or French.
