PNG images within Showpad Pages are about to process in a new way. Instead of the current automatic white background that appears when administrators upload a transparent PNG to Pages, the backgrounds will become transparent after September 27, 2022.
Administrators and users rejoice: there is no need to take any action at this time. If you’d like to prepare in advance for this change, you can do so by checking through your Showpad Pages that incorporate Gallery Block and Background PNG images and noting where they are so that when this change takes place, you can take action if you want to change the look of your Page then.
Note: This change will only apply to images used in Pages, which are uploaded directly rather than from your Content Library.
After the release, you can check on your PNG files within Pages and ensure they are formatted how you like. If you prefer the original white background, you can re-upload a non-transparent image in your format of choice and replace the transparent PNG within your Page.
Contact your Customer Success Manager if you’d like to brainstorm regarding this new capability and may the path to your success be as clear as this new PNG transparent background.
