As Showpad strives to level up our CRM connectivity, you can expect some changes to the CRM configuration experience. A new, smoother interface will make it easier for you to manage all your CRM connections. You will also be able to connect multiple instances across different CRM types (Salesforce, MS Dynamics, and SAP C4C) seamlessly. An updated compact list view will allow you to see all your connected CRMs easily at a glance.
Admins who have already configured their CRM instance will not require any further action. However, you can find helpful information below should you want to edit any aspect of your existing instance, or add another one.
If you add multiple CRM connections, each one can be given its own alias to help both you and your sales reps distinguish easily between them. Furthermore, sales users will be able to see which instance (by its alias) they are currently connected to in their personal account settings in the Web app, and disconnect again when needed.
If you are looking to edit the user groups that have Salesforce access in Showpad, you will find this will be moved to the Features section, where most user group feature access in Showpad is managed.
In a previous release we revealed more advanced and adaptable content recommendations you can set up for the Salesforce widget: targeting any kind of field beyond just picklists (including child objects like opportunity products), and more flexible value matching operators like ‘contains’ or ‘starts with’. If you have not had this feature enabled for your organization yet, it will be available to you with this upcoming release in conjunction with the updated UI.
The new experience will make it easier to add or edit Recommendation rules. New functionality will allow you to match Showpad content containing either ANY or ALL of the listed tags, consistent with similar areas like filters within the Library section of the Online Platform.

Lastly, to help you better manage your CRM instance, we are introducing the ability as a Showpad admin to view your own user’s connection status directly within the setup. This includes the ability to connect or disconnect your Showpad user as needed, and also to edit the integration user independent of your own current Showpad user’s connection
The above changes not only provide for a more flexible setup today, but also lay the groundwork for CRM integration setup enhancements to come in the future.
