To improve the experience of exporting assets from your Showpad Library and ensure valid insights for larger data sets, we've made some changes to the CSV and XLSX export formatting. These changes could affect existing reports you are utilizing and change how data parses into other systems you use. After reviewing these changes, you may need to amend existing scripts.
Coming May 31st, when you initiate an export of your Library assets, you will see a dialog with a process indicator to let you know the export is being processed. Once it's done processing, it can then be downloaded.
Additionally, you will notice some changes to the existing export fields.
- Dates will be in the the ISO8601 format, so they will read 2021-09-16T07:50:17Z instead of 2021-09-16 07:50:17.0
- The size column indicates the asset file's original file size of the asset. This is the size from when you upload or download the file, instead of the processed size.
- The file name of the export will be slightly different. For example, it may read showpad-asset-overview-2021-11-18-08-23-06.csv instead of export-assets.csv.
- The Ratings field will be replaced by the Likes column, which indicates how many times an asset was given a Like.
- The Used in Channels column will be removed and the Used In Experiences column will remain, which indicates which Experiences an asset is used in.
New columns that will be added to the export include:
- A Global field indicates whether an asset is Global or not.
- The asset Description if applicable from Showpad.
- A URL will provide URL links for a URL asset if available.
- The Origin Type field will provide information on where the asset was added from (ie. 'local' if from it was uploaded to Showpad, or 'gdrive' if it was synced using Cloud storage.
- Use Optimized File indicates if the file has been optimized.
The current way of exporting the library asset list will be available until May 31st.
