Introducing Dynamic Content Filtering in Pages
Dynamic Content Filtering arrived to Showpad Pages in our October 2021 release. This feature was already available in Experiences, giving the right people access to the assets that best suit their role within your organization.
How it works
This new functionality harnesses the power of Content Profiles and allows you to match the right users to content most relevant to them.
To get the most out of this feature, you should choose how you are using Dynamic Content Filtering for specific Pages ahead of time.
A Page within an Experience should agree on whether or not to use Dynamic Content Filtering. If a filtered Page exists in an unfiltered Experience, the assets will display differently from one to the other.
Note: The following information doesn't apply to all customers. Impacted customers will be notified beforehand.
What should you pay attention to
With the introduction of this feature, you as an admin should decide on the Page-level whether you want Dynamic Content Filtering to be applied or not across all Experiences. In this way, each Page will be consistent across Experiences, with or without Dynamic Content Filtering (DCF) activated.
Here are example scenarios that explain the default behavior:
- If the Page lives only in DCF enabled Experiences and is not shareable, DCF will be applied
- If the Page lives only in non-DCF enabled Experiences, then DCF will not be applied
- If the Page lives in both DCF and non-DCF Experiences, then DCF will not be applied
If this applies to you, but you aren’t sure, reach out to your Success Manager and ask for a list of impacted Pages within your Showpad instance.
If you have Pages that qualify, you can review them and decide whether you want them to have Dynamic Content Filtering enabled or not before November 25th. On this date, the feature will be activated in your instance and you will be able to enjoy the benefits of targeting your users with relevant assets daily.
