Episode Six: Paths of glory Updated September 14, 2023 20:03 Previously on Showpad's Onboarding Guide... In the previous episode, we covered the topic of user management for Showpad. This included how to create users and user groups as well as what the various roles exist in Showpad. Now that you have users in your Showpad environment, you can move on to providing them with coaching and sales enablement resources. This time on... We will introduce the Path and courses feature for those using Showpad Coach. Courses structured with the coaching tools and content necessary to uplevel your teams help keep users on the cutting edge of their organization's offerings. It also empowers them to retain strong skills through continued education. Because learning can happen at any time, paths offer a way for admins to provide guided learning initiatives through courses and completing offline tasks. Whether you want to create an onboarding track or certify your users on new products and services, paths offer an engaging way to leverage courses, tests, and any other offline requirements in support of continued learning and training. Working through this episode should take approximately 90 to 120 minutes depending on how extensive you would like your courses and paths to be. Configure courses for your users As you begin to create your first course, you will need to determine certain setting configurations. Some of these details pertain to the basics such as the title and a brief description of the course. In order to assess your learner’s gauge of the sales training initiatives, you will want to provide them with the necessary learning materials. Showpad Coach offers a wide array of options for creating, uploading, and distributing this information to sales teams. Here we will take a quick exploration of what these are before you dive in. Before you start, configure the toggle settings determining what learners can and can’t do with the content you’re providing them. This can be done in various ways, including uploading assets from the content Library to creating content natively within the course. Utilize webcam, audio recording, and more to customize your course in an engaging way for users. Content can be used in multiple courses which saves you the time of manually creating new content in each course. With all these options to tailor your courses to your needs, you can ensure your organization is equipped with the best resources to keep your users at the top of their game. This can highlight gaps in the course content or specific users who may need additional education. You are able to choose what type of test best suits your agenda as well as configure settings related to scoring and certifications. Tests can be created in advance and uploaded or simply built directly in the Online Platform.
