All the details
With a cleaner and more intuitive flow, the new interface will allow you, as a Learner, to easily find what you’re looking for and engage with your learning. Navigate and interact with the platform in a much easier and more intuitive way. Use the slider on the image to visually uncover this exciting update.
The new Home Screen shows a customized home page which will include Spotlight messages, highlighting important information from your admin. You will also find courses and pitches specifically recommended for you.
The Library tab will work as your course catalog, where you can go to browse or filter all Courses and Paths you have access to. It aggregates all types of learning content. Content can be filtered by due date, progress, and type.
The My Assignments tab will show you all the work you need to complete. This includes Paths, Courses, and peer Pitches to review. It will also show which paths or courses are in progress at the time. You can choose any of the tiles at the top of the page to see only your Paths to Do, Courses to Do, or PitchIQs to Review.
Images will be added to Path and Course tiles. These images can be customized by your admin and tailored to the Path or Course in a way that makes sense for the organization.
To help you allocate the right amount of time for your coursework, Paths and Courses will show the time to completion. This number is calculated by your admin, who will input the time it should take to complete the various components of the Course or Path.
You and your peers can now give each other written feedback on PitchIQs. Feedback will be split in Positive Feedback and Constructive Feedback.
Similar to courses, your admin will be able to deem Paths as Elective or Required. As a Learner, you can choose to Opt-In and complete elective paths to broaden your knowledge and readiness. Elective paths can be found in the Library.
When opening a Path or Course, you will find detailed information related to that specific Path or Course, including Time to Completion, Path Manager, Date Assigned, Due Date, Path Components, and the Description.
Below that, you will see the Path or Course Structure, which will break down the Tasks or Sections the Course or Path is comprised of.
Choose the Discussions tab to view and engage with threads your group has created while working on the Course or Path. Ask or answer questions, or simply add your thoughts.
If you're viewing Path details, you will see a Bookmarks tab where you will find all your bookmarked Path components. If you're viewing a course's details, you will see a Bookmarks & Notes tab, where you will find your bookmarked Course components, as well as any notes you've taken.
The bookmarks feature will gain more emphasis and on the top menu bar. All the content you've bookmarked in courses will be centralized here, and you can click View Bookmark to be taken directly to the bookmarked item in the course experience. Bookmarks can also be filtered by Course, Path, Lesson, PitchIQ, and sorted by Due Date and Most Recent.
The new Social tab will merge the previous Highlights and Social pages, and will include Top Rated Pitches and social Discussions all in one place.
When taking courses you will have the opportunity to limit distractions by hiding navigation menus and entering full-screen mode. Become fully immersed in your learning experience.
Upon the release, Checklists will be known as Paths. Think of learning Paths as your knowledge journey, starting at point A to gain the knowledge and skills you need to end at point C. Just as you know Checklists today, Paths can include courses, online tasks, and offline tasks.
Within your My Assignments tab, you may notice filters will be removed. This space will help you focus on what you're required to complete.
In the Library, previous sorting options such as Details, Modules, Assigned, and Due will be replaced by Due Date, Recent Activity, and Progress to help you find what you need to work on easier. On the left side you will have the option to filter by Due Date, Progress, and content Type.
Within the Bookmarks tab, you will have the option to filter by PitchIQ, Path, Course, or Lesson to quickly find the bookmarks you’re looking for.
You'll be able to search across all of your courses, paths, and pitches. For example, if you search for the word Salesforce, the results will return courses, paths, lessons, and pitches that match the criteria. Search results are enhanced with breadcrumbs that provide context to where an asset resides.
To keep things simple, with the introduction of Paths, the Curriculums feature will be temporarily deprecated. Both features are currently serving a similar purpose, sequencing learning content in a specific order. With this in mind, you will no longer see Curriculums on the Learner side.
You won't be able to generate a link to share your PitchIQs
You will no longer have access to the Reporting tab as a learner. You can find much of the same information you care about within your My Assignments tab.
It will not be possible to migrate existing annotations with accuracy, therefore these will not be available in the new platform.
iOS app updates for Showpad Coach
With this release of the iOS app for Coach, you will be able to take courses and paths online. To complete a test, you will be redirected to your mobile web browser. Upon this release, you will not be able to review or submit PitchIQs through the iOS app. That functionality will come in a following release.
In the My Assignments tab, you will find all your required Paths and Courses to complete. Click into any Course to see its details. You will have the option to view the Course Structure, or select Notes to read or write notes pertaining to the course. To follow a Course on iOS, you will need to be online.
Within the Electives tab, browse courses and paths that have been deemed elective by your admin. Opt-in and complete your additional learning.
Find all your bookmarked Courses and Paths within the Bookmarks tab for easy access. Note that you will not see any PitchIQs that you bookmarked in the Web app here.
Within the account section, you can remove any Learn content you've downloaded onto your device using the Clean Up option.
