The Showpad team has been hard at work on keeping our iOS iPhone/iPad apps up-to-date and secure, aiming to bring you the best possible Showpad experience. Part of this continuous process involves periodic updates to the list of supported versions of iOS.
Specifically, on April 30th, 2021, Showpad will be ending support for Apple’s iOS 12. Moving forward, we are focused on supporting the two most recent Apple releases, iOS 13, and iOS 14.
Note: As of the February Release, the updated Home Screen won’t be available to iOS 12 users due to technical limitations of the operating system.
Required Actions:
- If your users are accessing Showpad from a device currently running a version of iOS 12 that can benefit from being updated (see full list here): please have your users update their device(s) to the most recent version of Apple's operating system.
- If your users are accessing Showpad from a device that can't upgrade to iOS 14: don't worry, your users can still use the Showpad app on this device. However, after April 30th these devices will not receive the latest Showpad app updates anymore. In order to keep enjoying Showpad's latest functionalities and security features -- we encourage you to explore device alternatives.
This is the list of devices that are not certified to use iOS 14, as confirmed by Apple:
- iPhone 5S
- iPhone 6
- iPhone 6 Plus
- iPod Touch (6th generation)
- iPad Air
- iPad Mini 2
- iPad Mini 3
