Assign and publish Custom Homepages

Once satisfied with the Custom Homepage you've created, the last step is to assign it to user group(s) and publish it. You can add multiple groups when assigning the page, but we recommend only assigning each group one Custom Homepage. For example, you may assign a group of managers a management-specific Homepage and sellers a different Homepage tailored to their selling needs. You cannot choose which Custom Homepage users see on iOS versus the Web app.

It is ideal for users only to be assigned one Homepage. However, you can assign a user group to more than one Homepage if necessary. In that case, when they click their Home button, they can select which Homepage they wish to view from a dropdown menu.

You need this to succeed

• A Showpad admin account
• Available for Showpad Coach, Content, and Platform users
• Showpad Content or Coach Plus or Ultimate Package
• A Homepage ready to publish 

The quick way to awesomeness

1. Go to the Library
2. Select the Homepages tab
3. Select the Homepage you want to assign and publish
4. Add the applicable user groups
5. Click Publish 

Do this step by step

1. Once you've created a Custom Homepage, you will be returned to the Homepages tab by clicking Save. 
2. To assign users, click on the Homepage from the list to open the Homepage details pane.
3. Hover over the User Groups section and click the edit icon. Start typing the names of the user groups to whom you wish to assign this Homepage, then select them from the dropdown menu.
4. After adding your desired user groups, click the Publish button.
5. All users in the groups assigned will now see this Homepage when logging in. If a user is assigned to multiple Homepages, they will see a dropdown menu under the Home button and can select which Homepage they want to see. Web App, Windows Desktop, and iOS users will see the Custom Homepage.

   Note: By default, new users will be presented with the most recently updated Homepage. For returning users, the last selected Homepage is presented.

6. Return to this detail pane anytime to edit the groups assigned to the Homepage or Unpublish the Homepage.
7. When you unpublish an existing Homepage, users with no other custom Homepage will see the Showpad default Homepage again.
