- Navigate to your My Files. Hover over the asset you want to share with a colleague and click the three-dot menu.
- Select Share with Colleagues.
- If it's the first time you're sharing an asset, file sharing will be off by default. Use the toggle to enable sharing. This setting will be remembered for the next time you go to share this asset.
- Select the option to share the asset by link (to copy and paste a link to the asset) or by email (to email a copy of the file to a colleague). When sharing with a link, Click Copy Link then Done. Paste the link in your desired communication tool to share with your colleague.
- To share an asset by email, type a colleague's email address in the Email to box and select them from the drop-down. Type a message if desired, then click Share.
- The recipient will receive an email with the note from the sender and a button to view the file in Showpad.
- The recipient can view the asset and opt to Make a Copy, which will make a hard copy of the asset to their own My Files. Once you've saved a copy of the asset, it is no longer connected to the asset that was shared with you, so if your colleague removes it, you will still have access.
- To view all assets that have been shared with you, navigate to your My Files and select the Shared with Me tab. If the sender turns file sharing off on any asset they’ve shared with you, it will be removed from your Shared with me tab.
