We are proud to bring you a new option to register attendees in Coach for training sessions outside of Showpad using Paths. This new option will work alongside all previous Path and course options in Coach to make keeping track of learning items a breeze for admins and attendees. Whether you are returning to classroom training or creating more webinars than ever, Live Training can help you make it happen.
Admins can schedule Live Training sessions using any link to a webinar service such as Zoom, Skype, Gotowebinar, etc. If the Live Training session is in person, you can include instructions and directions for the calendar invite for your invitees. After the session is completed, Live Training offers attendance management capabilities within Coach to keep track of who participated.
Users can access Live Training on Coach Paths from their devices using Showpad’s Web app or Windows Desktop app. Users accessing Live Training from their Android app or iOS app will be redirected to a mobile browser.
The Path to registration
Session configuration in Live Training will begin by creating a Path. Along with the options for Task or Course creation, admins will see a third option for Live Training. Once selected, the session creation page will walk you through customizing your sections. From this page, you will be able to do several tasks in one place:
- Edit the Live Training title and description
- Add a new session to your Live Training Path
- Copy a session
- Delete a session
- Manage attendance
Enrollment for users
Once a Live Training is created as a Path item, only sessions occurring in the future will appear for users. If an enrollment due date was added for the Live Training when the session was created, the session will be hidden after the due date passes.
After a user enrolls, they will receive an email with an .ics file so they can add the training into their calendar.
Once a user enrolls, their Live Training will be pinned to the top of the session list in both the Path and Path overview pages. If Add to Calendar is selected, users will receive another enrollment email containing the .ics file that looks like this:
Admins and promoted members will be able to access attendance management options from multiple access points in Showpad: within the Online Platform in the Courses and Paths tab in the Library and the My Team tab. You will never be more than a few clicks away from seeing and editing registrations.
There are three states for a user’s enrollment:
- Pending: The default state for any enrolled user before a session. Any user with pending status has enrolled, but it hasn’t yet been confirmed they attended by an admin after the event
- Attended: Attendance has been confirmed after the event
- Not attended: A user enrolled in a session, but an admin marked them as not attended after the event.
Admins can manage attendance in the online platform manually by marking each user’s status after the event, or they can upload a .csv in bulk.
