What's in it for you
New sharing improvements coming to Showpad for iOS and the Web app will enable sellers to deliver a more authentic and personalized message when sharing content with prospects. The sharing experience will become more similar to a classic email system, including email signatures, rich text editors, and content as hyperlinks.
Introducing new sharing improvements
- Profile pages allow reps to create an email signature and add their contact information so prospects can see it within the shared content viewer
- Hyperlinks to content in shares will replace the View Content button that prospects currently see
- Rich text editor for shares allows reps to format the text and move around the sharing links as they would do in a typical email body
Make it personal with a sales profile
Profile pages for Showpad users will allow users to create an email signature and fill in their profile information, similar to the settings on common mail providers like Gmail. Sales reps can access their new profile from within the Web app by clicking their name on the top right corner and going to My Account Settings.
Information within the profile page will include:
- Position - the sales rep's title
- Phone number
- Time zone
- Email Signature - create the email signature that will populate in all share emails
Similarly to a typical email interface, sellers will have the ability to tweak their signature from within the email body as well.
When a prospect views shared content, they will be able to see more information about the sales rep than we currently show in the shared content viewer. When viewing the content they received, a prospect sees an option to click About within the shared content, and they will now find information like the sales rep's email address and phone number.

Send content as hyperlinks within the share email body
Prospects will no longer see a View Content button from within shares they've received from sales reps. The current View Content button will be replaced with direct hyperlinks that include the name of the content, which will look more authentic to classic email structure. To make it more clear what content has been shared, each piece of content will appear as a separate link.
Within the email body, a rep can hover over the link to see the content thumbnail. There will be an option to preview it in the content viewer as well, allowing them to view it as a prospect would. The workflow for sales reps remains the same, and when they select content to share from within Showpad it will automatically populate in the share as a link.

Format and personalize your share emails
The addition of a rich text editor within Showpad shares will make shared content feel more like authentic and personalized emails to prospects. When sales reps open the rich text editor menu they will see the option to change font size and format, use bulleted and numbered lists, and insert images and links.
