Let's talk about a strategy for your users. How many of your colleagues will use the Showpad app? Do you need multiple user groups? This episode explains how to create and manage your users.
Following this guide will take about 30 minutes. 40 minutes if you have to type in a long list of names.
One role to rule them all
Keep your feet on the ground, cowboy. As an owner or an administrator, you manage the content and users. Don't let that power get into your head. Yes, we have more roles in Showpad and they're all equally important. We suggest you take a look at them first.

Create your users
Sign in to the Online Platform and head out to the user tab. If you have other people in your organization that need the ability to manage content and users, this is the time to select who and make them an administrator as well. Don't worry, you can always change the user role later.

Build your super hero squad
The users you just created can be assigned to a group. By using groups, you’re able to assign a group permission to channels. Groups are a great way to manage your users and allows for scalability because you can easily add someone to a group. Doing this will give them access to the same content that everyone else in the group has.

Anyone in that group will be able to have access to the assets in that channel. If we use the comparison with television channels, certain groups of users can watch the history channels and others can only see nature documentaries. Or both.
