Please provide feedback directly in the beta app. With Showpad’s Microsoft Office integration, users can edit PowerPoint, Excel, and Word documents that you add to your Showpad Files library. It guarantees they have the latest branding and messaging format and helps them to have personalized sales conversations. For marketing content, users can create a copy of the file and edit it. The copy will then be saved in their My Files folder. For MS Office documents uploaded to their My Files or Collections, they can edit the original file or create a copy and save it under My Files. Toggle on one or both MS Office integrations: Microsoft Office Personalization: Allows users to edit files in the native Microsoft app. They need: A device with Microsoft Windows 10 or 11 installed. Microsoft Office 2016 or 2019 installed locally. Permissions on their device to download the Showpad Edit app for file transfer, or the app already installed by their admin via an EXE or MSI file. Clicking EXE will download the executable file. Clicking MSI will download the Microsoft Software Installer file. Office Online Personalization: Allows users to edit files online in Office 365. This solution works on all devices. After enabling the Microsoft Office integration, two things are true: All files in your Showpad Files library will still be non-editable by default, but you can enable personalization on a per-document basis from the Library. See how in the next section. Users can edit the MS Office files that they upload to their My Files or Collections folders. They can either edit the original file or create a copy and save it under My Files. Note: If you have installed the Showpad Edit app and users still get the message that it must be installed, the issue may involve the proxy that your company is using. If your organization uses multiple Divisions, select the desired one from the top-left dropdown menu. Select All files from the left-side menu. Click on a file to open its details panel. In the Permissions section, click Can be personalized. Then, toggle the permission on. Click Save changes. Tip: You can update permissions in bulk. Or, create an Automation Rule to apply permissions when new files are created.
