Set the background of a Classic Experience

Note: This article is about the new beta Admin App, which is still in development. Changes may occur. Please provide feedback directly in the beta app.

Enhance the design of your Experience with a custom background. An Experience background is like a desktop wallpaper. It gives your Experience a customized look and complements its content.

For the best result, we recommend using an image size of 2048px by 2048px. This shape is recommended because mobile devices can be used in both portrait and landscape modes.

The quick way

1. Open a Classic Experience in the Experience Builder.
2. Click Design and select Background.
3. Select or upload a background image.

Do this step by step

1. Navigate to the Libraries tab.
2. If your organization uses multiple Divisions/Libraries, select the desired Division/Library from the top-left dropdown menu.
3. Select Experiences in the left side menu.
4. Click on the Classic Experience you want to customize.
5. At the top of the details panel, click Open Experience Builder.
6. Click Design and select Background.
7. Perform one of the following:
   • Click the Select a file button to choose a background stored on your device.
   • Drag and drop a file into the Upload section.
   • Select one of the default or previously uploaded backgrounds.
8. From the Anchor position dropdown, select the desired anchor position for your background. This is the point around which the background image will rotate when mobile users rotate the tablet.
9. Click Save.
