Channel Previews are thumbnails of Channels and offer users visually attractive shortcuts to Channels while simultaneously boosting user engagement. Showpad automatically generates them.
A. What determines a Channel Preview's design?
A Channel Preview's design is defined by three elements, which they copy from their respective Channels:
- The Channel name
- The Channel background
- The Channel logo
B. How can I modify a Channel Preview's design?
Since a Channel Preview's design is a copy of its original Channel, all modifications you apply to the initial Channel’s design are automatically applied to that Channel’s Preview on the Content screen. Refer to the “Related Articles” section at the bottom of this article for more information on modifying the design of your Channels. This underlines the importance of using meaningful backgrounds and logos in your Channels to maximize user engagement. Also, logos in the Channel Previews are enlarged to increase Channel visibility. Their size in the Channel itself remains the same so users can navigate through the content without distractions.
Below you will find an example of the added value of backgrounds and logos in Channel design:

- Image B: backgrounds, no logos
- Image C: backgrounds and logos
C. Can users change a Channel Preview's design?
No. However, they can determine the order in which Channel Previews are displayed on the Content screen by moving their preferred channels to the top of the “View all” Channels list. Refer to the “Related Articles” section for more information on this topic.
